Ollie was on his way to his favorite class, science. They would be getting their science partners today. I hope I get anyone but Stephanie or Amanda Finn, he thought. Amanda was a nice girl but she had terrible mood swings. One time her boyfriend broke up with her, and one minute she was sobbing and the next there was a knife through the guys hand. "Oliver Larkly is with Amanda Finn", said our science teacher, Mrs. Mason. I almost groaned. Out loud that is.
She walked towards my desk and sat down. She smiled brightly at me. Yes today is a good day, I thought. So I smiled back. She burst out crying. Oh no! Mrs. Mason ran over and asked what was wrong, fully knowing that the slightest thing could set her off.
"O-ollie didn't smile at me right away", she sobbed. "I d-demand a new partner". That was fine with me, I thought. Until she put me with Stephanie.
