Haerin, a high school student, was in a panic. She had lost her school ID, and without it, she wouldn't be able to attend classes or get into school events. She searched her backpack and her locker, but it was nowhere to be found.

As she frantically retraced her steps, she realized that she must have dropped it on her way to school that morning. She had no idea where it could be.

Meanwhile, Minji, another high school student and Haerin's ex-girlfriend, was walking to her own class when she spotted something on the floor. It was a small, plastic card – Haerin's school ID. Minji recognized the name immediately. She and Haerin had broken up a few months ago, but she still had feelings for her.

Minji debated what to do for a moment, but ultimately decided to return the ID to Haerin. She knew how important it was, and didn't want Haerin to miss any classes or events. She also hoped that returning the ID would give her a chance to see Haerin again.

After school, Minji went to Haerin's house to return the ID. When Haerin answered the door, she was surprised to see Minji standing there. "Hey," Minji said nervously. "I found your ID on the way to school today."

Haerin's face lit up with relief. "Thank you so much!" she exclaimed, taking the ID from Minji's outstretched hand. "I was so worried I'd never find it."

Minji hesitated for a moment, then spoke up. "Hey, do you maybe want to hang out sometime? Catch up on old times?"

Haerin looked at Minji for a long moment, considering. She still had feelings for Minji, but she wasn't sure if it was a good idea to pursue anything. "I don't know, Minji," she said eventually. "I think it's better if we just stay friends."

Minji was disappointed, but she understood. "Yeah, you're right. Friends is good. Maybe we can grab lunch sometime?"

Haerin smiled. "Sure, that sounds great."

Over the next few weeks, Minji and Haerin hung out more and more. They went to movies, got ice cream, and had long conversations about everything and nothing. Minji was falling for Haerin all over again, but she didn't know if Haerin felt the same way.

One day, as they were sitting on a park bench, Haerin turned to Minji with a serious expression. "Minji, can I ask you something?"

"Of course," Minji replied, her heart racing.

Haerin took a deep breath. "Do you still have feelings for me?"

Minji hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, I do. I never really stopped."

Haerin smiled. "Me neither."

They leaned in to kiss each other, but before their lips met, Haerin pulled back. "Wait, Minji. There's something you need to know."

"What is it?" Minji asked, her heart sinking.

Haerin took a deep breath. "I have a girlfriend. I started dating her a few weeks after we broke up."

Minji felt like the wind had been knocked out of her. She had hoped that she and Haerin could start something new, but now it seemed like that door had been closed.

"I'm sorry, Minji," Haerin said softly. "I didn't mean to lead you on."

"It's okay," Minji replied, trying to keep her voice steady. "I'm happy for you. Really."

But as she walked home alone that day,
