Wednesday morning, Crys woke up to more news reports of a werewolf-like figure robbing multiple businesses. Still no witnesses, still no good pictures, and thankfully still no injuries. With that out of the way, Crys went on with her morning routine like usual.
The day itself went by pretty quick for everyone involved. School was not too intense, which made everyone quite happy. The school year wasn't over just yet, but things seemed to be winding down as classes began to wrap up and prepare for the end of year testing. The only downside to the day was the constant chatter over The Werewolf's supposed turn to villainy, but considering that was the only real bother, it was a good school day overall.
Once school let out, Brandon and Crys started their walk, though this time it was off to the park instead of home like usual.
"So, anything I need to know before I meet your friends?" Brandon asked, quite nervous considering how his brief encounter with Teague went a few days ago.
"Not really." Crys said, surprisingly not picking up much on Brandon's worry. "I mean, they're all jerks, so there's that, but you'll be fine since you're with me."
"You sure? I kinda got the impression Teague didn't like me all that much when I met him." Brandon said.
Crys looked at Brandon and smiled. "I'm sure you'll be fine." She said warmly. "And if any of my old friends have a problem with you being there then they can take it up with me."
"Thanks." Brandon said, still not too sure about any of this being a good idea. "But uh, if you don't mind me asking, why exactly do you want me to go with you?"
"Because I do." Crys said flatly.
Brandon sighed. He figured he wouldn't get a good answer out of Crys even if he tried. "Alright." He said instead, deciding not to bother questioning any further.
The two friends kept walking to the park, both stewing with worry, even if one of them hid it much better than the other.
Upon finally arriving at the park, Crys and Brandon made their way over to part of the park where there were several benches and tables by a few taller trees that were scattered about. It was where Crys had told Teague and the others to meet her, though only she and Brandon were there at the moment. The two of them were a little early. Several anxiety filled minutes passed that seemed endless, but that ended once Crys heard a familiar cacophony of chatting approaching. Her old friends had arrived. Crys got up from the bench she was sitting on to greet them.
"There you are!" Teague called out. "We've been looking all over this stupid park trying to find you!"
"Well then maybe you should learn how to read directions." Crys retorted.
"Good seeing you too." Teague said with a faint smile.
"Brit, Steph, you're both looking fine." Crys said in greetings to her other old friends. "Quinn, Will, nice to see the two of you."
Brandon got up from the bench and joined Crys, standing next to her. "Hi." Brandon said, trying to be friendly.
"Oh, yeah, everyone, this is Brandon." Crys said. "Brandon, this is Quinn, Steph, Brit, and Will. You already met Teague."
All of Crys' friends immediately looked at Brandon, glaring in some way or another.
Brandon froze up feeling terrified now that all eyes were on him. He could tell that they were all judging him by the dirty looks they were giving him. At least he could now put a face to each of the names, however.
Quinn was tall and lanky. He was wearing a jersey and shorts with a pair of sneakers. He had his hands in his pockets, and his whole demeanor made him seem not very approachable. He also had short black hair and hazel colored eyes.
