Chapter 14
Long Feng was elated to hear that. Although he didn't really understand what soul power was, he was still glad to have it. And according to Wu Kong, his soul power was among the rare kinds.
"That's great! If I can also cultivate both soul and martial Cultivation, I'll definitely be stronger than I am right now!"
Long Feng's plans were actually simple and straightforward. He intended to leave the Star Mountain City and go to other places, travel the world and see what it was all about. He would join a fairly powerful sect. A Yang level sect maybe, or higher if he could. When he reaches the peak Yin realm, he would leave the Jianhai Province. In the Yihua Imperial Continent, there were seven provinces. The Jianhai Province was only one of them.
His final plan was to leave the Yihua Continent once he reached the spirit realm. Of course, this was all his own thinking. As for whether he could actually reach the spirit realm, or if a spirit realm warrior could really leave the continent? He had no idea.
"I will not interfere in your cultivation. Not a helping hand, not even when your life is in danger. You must cultivate on your own diligently and figure your own way out of any danger." Wu Kong stated.
Long Feng nodded
"I never wanted that. I will surely cultivate diligently to attain the Imperial realm." He assured, clenching his fists.
Little did he know, he would come to regret accepting this condition so casually…
"If you wish to gain my approval, you have much harder path ahead of you than you imagine. I want you to reach the Imperial realm within three years. That is your first test." Wu Kong added.
Long Feng felt his throat dry up as his determination deflated like a burst balloon and he stared at Wu Kong blankly, taking a minute to comprehend what he said.
Many people would take over decades to rears to reach the spirit realm alone! It could take even longer, and many would still never make it.
Yet, Wu Kong was asking him to reach the Imperial realm within three years? Wasn't that just a joke and half?
He didn't say anything in response. He was lost for words to say.
A minute passed and he prepared to leave the Dantian. He had already spent over a day locked up in his room. It was time to step out for a bit.
Just before he left, he paused and turned around to glance at Wu Kong again.
"Master… why me?" He asked suddenly in a solemn tone.
He was young and rather naive, but it hadn't reached the level of stupidity.
Why was it him? Was it really just a coincidence that he picked up the sword that suitably turned out to be a powerful man?
Why hadn't it been Long Qing? Or Long Wei?
Was it because he wasn't really a Long clansman? Who exactly was he? What were the three dragons and the symbol on his forehead? All of these were questions he didn't have an answer to.
All he knew was that Wu Kong wasn't planning anything bad. From the beginning, he held absolutely no bad intentions. Instead, he guided him, took him in as a disciple and even gave him a powerful technique while hinting at the existence of an entire inheritance belonging to his master.
But… all of these… would anyone really do all that for free?
Wu Kong seemed to have been expecting that question.
"You shouldn't think too much about it. When it's time, you'll understand everything".
Long Feng didn't get the chance to speak again before he was forced out of the Dantian world, leaving him speechless.
