Chapter 22
Long Feng and the others were all taken to their apartments. Long feng was quite surprised at how big everyone's home was. Each person had a pavilion, a small training ground, garden, seclusion room, and few others. Each pavilion was large. Yet, every inner court disciples had his own. And those were for ordinary inner court disciples like Long feng and the others! That alone, showed how huge the Mortal heaven sect was.
Long feng's pavilion was quite close to Yan Jian and Lin Langtian's.
"I really don't like that Jio yu. He didn't show us anything. He thinks we are unworthy of him talking to us?" Yan Jian said to Long Feng. Both of them were seated in front of Yan jian's pavilion.
"I heard that within the Mortal heaven sect, different groups exist. If you are strong enough, you can create a division of yours. The strongest division currently within the inner court is the Nether division. It was founded by that Jio yu. And if a division notices you, they can invite you to join them." Yan jian added.
Long Feng shrugged.
"I have no intention of joining any division or whatnot. I prefer to be on my own." He replied.
Yan Jian nodded
"I also prefer cultivating along. Let's go. Warden Song is going to be giving a talk today." He said.
"You know a lot." Long Feng smiled curiously. "You know the way, right?" He asked.
They just arrived at the sect few hours ago. Long Feng basically knew nothing.
"Of course I do." Yan Jian replied, rising to his feet.
"I also heard that the Mortal heaven sect gives three origin pill to the inner court disciples each week. I can't wait to get mine" Yan Jian added.
Origin pill were almost like a Wintry Yin leave, only slightly weaker. It was an incomplete Yin pill. Even pill and elixirs were divided into categories based on their strength.
Upon reaching the lecture hall, Long feng figured out that every eyes was on him. Even on the road, other disciples kept staring at him. Even Warden Song glanced at him and shook his head disappointedly.
Warden Song was a rank five Yin level cultivator. With this strength, he could be a leader In star mountain city, but here, he was merely a Warden. Wardens were below the sect elders and barely above the disciples.
"My lectures are meant for those who can make use of it, not for useless people, just so all of you may know." Warden Song said. His voice reached every corner of the class. Although he didn't state it directly, he was referring to Long Feng.
"How did they know?" Yan Jian muttered under his breath.
Probably the other new disciples had spread the news. Long Feng looked around the class and found that only the new disciples were around. Only a few Older disciples bothered to come.
Even amongst the new disciples, few were absent, like Lin Langtian and the mysterious young lady.
Long Feng hesitated for a while before entering the hall and sitting at the back. Yan Jian sat beside him.
Warden Song glanced at Long Feng indifferently again before continuing his lesson.
After that session, Long Feng headed to the martial skills hall. That was where disciples borrowed martial skills to train on. He felt it was necessary to have some martial skills to use in battle. On his way to the hall, he was the center of attention. Many people were looking at him curiously. Long feng ignored them all. He was already used to that.
At the entrance to the martial skills hall, an old man say on a chair. He looked dignified in his light blue robe with the cultivation of a rank four Yin level cultivator.
He was the Warden who allocated the time when one was to return the skills borrowed. He also gave the time one was to spend choosing a skill. Long Feng stopped in front of the man.
"You have half an incense stick worth of time to pick a skill from the first floor and five days to return it." The man said without looking up.
Half an incense stick worth of time was equal to fifteen minutes. That was an unbelievably little time, but Long Feng wasn't bothered.
The hall was divided into two floors. He entered the hall's first floor. Countless long shelves were arranged everywhere and were filled with scripts and scrolls. The martial skills were imprinted within the scripts and scrolls so that it could be used multiple times.
Without wasting time, Long feng began to look around. He could never cover the whole first floor within five minutes, not even in twenty minutes, but he moved leisurely, looking through all the skills thoroughly.
Three minutes later, he found a skill which interested him.
Nirvana saint technique was the name.
It was a technique which few were able to use suitably, and it was a yin grade martial skill.
Martial skill were divided according to the five cultivation realm. From Connate grade to the legendary Imperial grade, each higher grade possessed unbelievable power.
Normally, only Yin level cultivators could comprehend a Yin grade martial skill, but to Long feng, it was not impossible.
Higher rank martial skills could only be comprehended by Yang realm cultivators and even Spirit realm warriors.
The Nirvana saint technique was a very special technique. Even normal Yin level cultivators couldn't hope to use it, but it was a suitable sword technique, so Long Feng took it anyway.
Next, he sought for a movement technique to raise his speed and increase his agility. These were very crucial in fights and could even decide the winner. He soon found one, a rather high level yin grade techniques, the Void Roc technique.
It's speed was apparently unimaginable, and it was allegedly created a spirit realm cultivator!
"Hand it over. A martial skill is meant for cultivators, not trash." a cold voice ordered from behind him.
Long feng turned around and found a group of seven people; five men and two ladies. The person who spoke was the leading rank nine connate cultivator. He was huge and had a long scar on his cheek.
"Oh my, isn't this the popular Long feng?" One of the ladies laughed mockingly.
Long Feng frowned.
"You'd best hand over that skill if you know what's good for you, trash. I am the leader of the maple leaf division, Luo Cheng." The rank nine connate cultivator boasted.
"Why would I hand it over? And what do I care about who you are? I took it first." Long Feng replied coldly.
"It seems you don't know what is good for you. Trash like you shouldn't even be in this sect. In fact, no sect would want you, so put down the technique and scram before I loose my temper" Luo Cheng said threateningly.
As Long feng was about to say something, a cold, expressionless feminine voice sounded from behind.
"Get lost!"
Long Feng glanced at the speaker and realized that it was the unknown young lady who joined the sect with them.
He was quite surprised to see her, and more surprisingly, she was speaking up for him!
Through her veil, one could blurrily make out an exquisite beauty, yet her light blue pupils were cold as ice.
Merely hearing her voice made Luo Cheng shiver slightly. He stared at her cautiously.
"A new disciple dares to speak to me like that? You wee lucky that I am in a good mood, so you can leave before I change my mind." he uttered in a fierce voice.
She suddenly took a step and instantly appeared before Luo Cheng. She stretched out her snow white hand at him.
Luo Cheng was instantly alarmed. He wanted to dodge her hand, but he was too slow. She grasped his neck as if he was a dead duck.
"I don't like repeating myself." She said icily. A freezing energy flowed into Luo Cheng's neck, causing him to hiccup.
He shivered fiercely as he felt her aura. Even Long Feng couldn't help but gulp.
Rank two Yin level cultivator!
This seemingly harmless fourteen years old young lady was actually a rank two Yin level cultivator! What sort of talent was that?
Long Feng wasn't sure if he could even compete with her. With her talent, her combat power shouldn't be low.
Everyone in the hall was staring at her unbelievably.
Unfazed, she flinged Luo Cheng away and ignored him. Then she glanced briefly at Long Feng with her cold gaze before making her way out of the hall.
