It was O.W.L.s week and because of how hard Hermione was studying (despite not really needing to) Y/N had gotten no attention from her and was craving it. Hermione had no time for her anymore and was always stuck in a book or writing an essay that she hadn't been assigned. It was like she was doing it on purpose just to see how needy Y/N would get.
Right now, Hermione, Harry and Ron were sat in the Gryffindor Common room, Hermione reading and Harry and Ron just kind of sitting there not doing much.
"Hey 'mione?" Ron asks, caution in his voice like he was scared of her.
"Only Y/N can call me that. You know that's my nickname only for her."
"Yeah, well, about that, you see, um, the thing is,"
"WHAT? SPIT IT OUT RONALD IM TRYING TO READ!"
"Well, I'm just saying that you might want to give her some attention, um.. she's acting.... different..."
"That's the point!" Hermione smirked, "I'm seeing how long she can go without it."
"Hermione..." Ron said, his voice shaking with fear. "What exactly is 'it'?"
She smirks and walks away.
