"Caught ya!" A girl had shouted in an echoey high pitched voice. Giggling hysterically.
I looked above me only to see that I was surrounded in a square magical barrier.
A girl was floating around outside the barrier. She seemed to be wearing some type of witch or mage outfit along with a little top hat with random accessories that sat on her head.
I attempted to run through the walls, only to feel a light shock and get pushed back.
Shit.
This was a trap.
War between Aoyagi's and the Tono's
Year XXXX
"Whaaahhaahhaa~!" The girl giggled, spinning upside down on her broom as she flew around the cube.
It was surprising to see someone spinning like that while flying on a broom without falling off.. or getting hurt. She must've been quite experienced with this.
Though there was one thing I noticed about the girl.
Long pink hair that was oddly... oddly familiar looking.
I stood there, still in a defensive stance in case she tried anything. If she was a a mage, witch, or a.. wizard? I would probably be out matched instantly. If this girl only knew a few spells then. Maybe she'd be an okay... opponent. But if she was on Rei's level of magic. That'd be a different story.
"Leeettt's see who I caught this time~!" She spoke, dragging her words with much enthusiasm. Giggling even more as she flew down to the floor.
"I caughhhtt !!"
The girl reached the floor, standing on my level as we made eye contact.
"Aoyagi-kun...?"
The girl froze.
Right.
No wonder she looked so familiar. This was Otori Emiko. A close friend of Hoshizora and Rei. I knew her as both a close friend and as Rei's assistant.
a/n: fyi if its not obvious by now /lh Emu is Emiko's reincarnation, Hoshizora is Tsukasa, and Rei is Rui :3
"Otori-chan..?" I say back. The two of us exchanging the most confused expressions.
"Ah- Aoyagi-kun I swear its not what it looks like-!" She says quickly just as I was about to speak. She hugged to broom tightly as she shook her head in a panick. I tilt my head to the side, a bit confused by what she meant by that.
"Otori-chan. What do you mean by that?" I ask. Emiko freezes quickly with an awkward smile.
"Well- Y'know-! How.. I'm fighting on.. Tono-kun's side..?" She says, speaking in a nervous like tone. She seemed like she was struggling to get the right words.
