"If it gets weird, we can always leave," Stella says as I pace around the kitchen in my premiere dress "I haven't seen him since last year, and I haven't talked to him in two months," I say with my hands on my forehead

"Just ignore him, or don't, you're still in love with him, so, of course, it's gonna be hard but you got this," She says grabbing my hands and pulling them away from my face

After Jack and I split, we promised that night we'd still talk, but we didn't keep that promise. We talked maybe three times and it was just the most basic and dry stuff. I won't lie it hurt not being able to just call him or hug him, but it's for the best. We both have grown so much since we broke up and my mental health has gotten so much better since I've decided that I need to put myself first. I was only staying alive for other people, now I'm staying alive for myself.

"I feel like if I see him I'm gonna cry," I say sitting down on the stool under the island "That's normal, Thea," Stella says sitting down next to me

"The second you feel like you're just ready to break, we are leaving," She says putting her hand on my shoulder as a way to comfort me

"Thank you," I say turning to her and pulling her into a hug "I love you, Thea, but maybe you should talk to him, I mean now would be the perfect time to get back together," She says and I stare at her

"Anytime would have been perfect to get back together, anytime I missed him more than anything would have been perfect but he seems so happy without me, have you seen his Instagram?" I say stressing out

"He was happier with you, even Jamie says so," Stella says referring to her now boyfriend and how they seem to love to talk about Jack and me.

"Whatever, I can't keep thinking about this or I'm not gonna go at all," I say standing up "We are gonna be late so we need to go," I say walking into the bathroom to check my makeup and hair before we head out the door.

"I missed you so much," Jenna says pulling me into a hug and I smile "I miss you more, love," I say holding her close

"How have you been?" She asks pulling away and looking at my face "I've been great," I say not telling the full truth but also not lying

"If you need anything tonight let me know," She says and I nod "Okay, my turn," Jasmin says pushing Jenna out of the way and I laugh

"hey babe," She says hugging me "I missed you," I say pulling her close "I missed you like crazy," She says pulling away

"Are you nervous?" She asks and I nod "Very," I say blinking quickly

"Thea!" I hear a high-pitched voice says from behind me and I turn to see Devyn "Dev!" I say practically running at her "My love," She says hugging me "I missed you oh my," I say as we rock back and forth

Devyn and I became very close while filming, most of the time she, Jack, and I were all hanging out in her trailer watching movies or just doing stupid things. She truly became like a sister to me and I haven't seen her in so long.

"You look so pretty," She says as we step back and admire each other's outfits "You look like a goddess," I say looking at her beautiful black dress, somehow we collectively wore black dresses and honestly we all look really good.

"Jack!" I hear Mason yell from behind me and I freeze up "You okay?" Devyn asks noticing how tense I got "Mhm, perfectly fine," I nod and put a smile on my face

"Just got to try and make it through the night without crying," I say laughing and I feel Stella come to my side "We will leave if you want, remember that," She whispers in my ear and I nod

"I need to be here, I'm not gonna let the fact that I wish I could just hug and kiss him distract me from supporting the whole cast and movie," I say looking at her and I see her eyes widen a bit

"Hey, Jack," She says dragging out the k and going to hug him "Hey, Stella," He says hugging her back. I know that she and Jack stayed in contact which I'm completely fine with, because they were friends and she's obviously dating his best friend but it just feels weird

"Hey, Thea," he says awkwardly and I smile "Hey, Jack," I say and we hug awkwardly "How have you been?" He asks as we quickly part "I've been good," I nod and so does he, there was an awkward silence that quickly fell over us

"Uh, we should probably go, over there," I say pointing to where the whole cast was "yea," he says quickly and we both walk; far apart, toward the cast.

"Everyone, on the carpet!" Some person standing on the side yells and we all walk toward the carpet, somehow I ended up next to Jack, so now I have to stand awkwardly next to him like we are best friends.
