I woke up before Jack, and we slept on different couches because I was still scared to sleep in my room and It'd be weird if I slept with him. I decided I'd cook him breakfast as a thank you for last night. I made some waffles from scratch and some bacon.
I tried to make it quietly so I didn't wake him but I ultimately failed when I dropped the waffle maker trying to take it out of the cupboard, it made a huge crashing noise and I prayed it didn't wake him.
I stood there for a minute to see if he'd wake but I didn't see him get up so I plugged in the waffle maker and turned the bacon that was in the pan already. I finished mixing the waffle batter and then poured it into the machine, it made two at a time so that meant I had to only do this twice in order to make four
"Hey," I hear Jack say from behind me and I jumped almost dropping the bowl of batter "You scared the fuck out of me," I said turning toward him "Did I wake you?" I ask
"No," He says in his signature morning raspy voice that he knows I love so much "Good, I tried to be quiet," I say and he laughs
"What are you making?" He questions while he leans on the counter "Just some waffles and bacon," I say and he smiles
"I have to say, I have missed your cooking," He says and I laugh "It's cause I'm an amazing chef," I say with a smile
I quickly finished making the food and put it on two separate plates one for me and one for Jack obviously. We sat at the table in comfortable silence just eating our food, we spoke here and there about random things or him just saying how good the food was.
"I know you're probably sick of me but I really don't want to be alone so, do you wanna do something with me today?" I ask him as I put the plates in the sink
"Like what?" He questions "I mean, we could go to the arcade for old time sake," I suggest "Yes, We never did end up going back so I could beat you at every game," He says and I laugh "You didn't win then you still won't live now," I playfully roll my eyes
"I'll go home so I can you know get ready, and then we can meet there at about I don't know twelve?" He says looking at his phone to see the time "Sounds good to me," I say with a smile
