ok so the last chapter was complete shit sorry.  I did say it was a draft, I ended up just rewriting the whole thing tho soooo ya, I like how it came out in the end 

update I deleted that chapter yay!

Once the Debut ended you were immediately shuffled into a separate smaller room and were forced to put on these different clothes you had never seen before. You think they were called a portrait? Still unsure if that was right. well that doesn't really matter now, you were finally Master Yuki's face!
"When you wear a portrait you must refrain from speaking and only display your master's emotions, though you must be quite good at it at this point." A bright eyed younger looking shadow said, she was a new star bearer named Barbra. 'She seems nice, I bet her Debut was nicer than ours.' You thought to yourself. "Now unfortunately your Debut didn't help you uncover some," she paused, clearly trying to think of some other word. "Other important skills required to be a good shadow, though it did do good with helping you practice being proper shadows. We will have some other people look into it and tell you later. Though you and the oher shadow will for sure need some other training, later of course, but training nonetheless. Go have fun with the other shadows now though!"
She took you guys out of the room into the main hall where everyone was waiting for you.
"welcome! Our newest addition to the family! Yuki!" everyone applauded and cheered, you knew that they didn't see the horse that happened behind that door not even 1 hour ago. "And his face y/n!" The crowd cheered again, everyone applauding you guys as you walked past them all, looking around. It looked as though everyone in the children's wing had gathered there, how nice.
An almost nurse looking older shadow shoved a tray of small cups filled with a dark liquid.
"Coffee? It's a special drink only given to adults and their shadows."
"um... is it bitter?"
"haha! So childish! to be expected, I mean you only just became adults. To answer your question I guess it is a little bitter. You'll get used to it in due time."
"Well for now, I think we're good :)"
"Well once you get used to it you won't be able to resist! I can tell you that much." She walked away after that.
"ring! ring! ring!" You froze as your fight or flight response triggered you and your misteris froze, you were used on a stage shortly after you froze. It was Oliver, his doll, Master Yuki, and you. You could tell that they were also shoken up by the bell. It was a pretty traumatic experience to say the least.
"ducing the two pairs that have grown up today, please give a hand to the newest members to the children's wing!" A taller shadow with dark brown hair and glasses. (Cristefer, I low key can't remember if he was introduced into the anime or not but he's in the manga so ya) The crowd roared with upload again.
"Two of the four pairs passed today, how unforchunate the others could not join us. The two who didn't make it have been disposed of." The crowd had gasped but soon turned into laughter at those last words like they haven't heard similar ones time and time again. He said it so calmly that if you were zoned out you wouldn't have heard how grin those words were.
'How does one even feel about this? What happens to the shadows that don't make it and fail?' to many questions, not enough answers.
"Let us adjourn to the garden! It is time to be received in the audience." The lady who offered you coffee was the one who made this announcement and pushed everyone through the door to the garden, giving any nearby shadows patts.
You were all standing on the staircase not under cover though it was pouring. You could hear the rain over the chatter in the crowd. The rain was loud and hard, it almost hurt your head. It was raining so hard.
As the rain poured down. You glanced over to your side and saw master Oliver pass mistress Yuki a note out of the corner of your eye. 'How perculiour?' You thought to yourself.
"Now time for the encounter you should never forget! Presenting the noblest of personages..." You could barely hear master Cristefer say over the rain. Everyone gasped as their eyes fell on the window across the way. Their eyes widened as the window slowly opened, it did not open all the way or even half for that matter. The window was only opened a little short of half as a hand slowly appeared from within. The hand waved, and the crowd went wild! Everyone was so ecstatic, even the shadows. You looked over to your shadow. Master Yuki was not going crazy like the rest and so was master Olier but his doll was? It was quite strange, his doll was acting out while wearing a pourtit and after that hourid Debut along with that his doll was crying? Yes, crying at the sight of a waving hand??? It was all so peculiar.
"Missteris Yuki, who is that?'' Before your mistress could answer, Cristifer decided to finish his statement and answer the question that has hindered you.
"LORD GRANDFATHER!!!" 'This is lord grandfather? The one who gave me life? Why wouldn't he come and congratulate me in person? Why in the world would he make us all wait in the pouring rain that really starts to head at this point just to wave at us from across the way! And... not even show his face, well his shadow face! If this was supposed to be one of the biggest accomplishments of my life and he saw how traumatizing this event was, why in the world wouldn't he come down here and congratulate me in person?!' you were so mad that you forgot to be nice and formal, even when thinking of him. In Fact you should not fret over trivial matter nore think anything bad about Lord Grandfather. It took all that you had inside to not have a sour face and act for your master, officially being their face and all.
The party for the Debut ended shortly after the visit, and the concluded the Debut in a whole.
