The light of the city flickered against your frame as you walked the long block to your small apartment, thoughts racing through your mind while the cars traveled down the road. You took no notice to anyone else on the sidewalk, only moving out of the way if an oncoming pedestrian needed you to.

You stared at your phone, scrolling through your long library of music, intent on finding the song to vibe to during your commute home. Your eyes skimmed through artists until a strange melody seemed to break through your earbuds, inviting you to the park to your left. The moon was the only reliable source of light since your phone flashlight wasn't strong enough, and you stumbled through bushes and branches that seemed all too familiar. The soft notes danced in your mind as you rushed to find the source of this strange lullaby.

Looking up at the sky, the moon seemed to beckon you to a spot next to an old oak tree. Taking a moment to gather yourself, you took a deep breath and looked inward.

What is happening?  You ask yourself, noticing a small fire a short distance away. Squinting, you could see figures dancing, a clear head of the group sitting in a big chair. I can see better than I thought. You chuckled to yourself.

A branch snapped behind you and your head whipped around to see nothing, just trees and branches, unmoved from their original position.

"Don't worry, dearie." A stranger's voice soothed, your breath unable to escape your throat as your looked around faster, determined to find out where he was. "I mean you no harm." The voice promised.

Yeah freaking right. Your mind instinctively thought, scrambling for something to say that wouldn't get you killed. "If you mean no harm," you started, trying to cover the shake in your voice. "Then why are you hiding?"

A boy who appeared to be in his late teens stepped out from the shadows, his emerald green eyes unmoving from your form as he walked around you. His eyes lit up for a second and he grinned, earning a confused look from you. The smile faded from the stranger's face and then he vanished right before your eyes.

Time to go.

No sooner had that thought crossed your mind, your feet did all of the work. Trees were everywhere in this new environment and the jungle was absolutely not something you were used to.

The moon barely shone through the tops of the trees, not quite the help it was before, and the bushes cut your legs, making you cry even more than you were already prone to doing.

A hard chest stopped you in your tracks, sending you flying back words and knocking some wind out of you. Shaken, you tried crawling backwards, not wanting to be captured by the boy you had crossed paths with before. The stranger hushed your crying, and not hearing a British accent, you assumed it wasn't the intimidating figure you had seen before.

Looking up, you saw a very tall boy with blonde hair and a large club towering over you. His blue eyes were filled with concern and wonder. "Hey, it's okay" he soothed, your eyes giving away your confusion with his gentleness towards you. You looked around, seeing if there was anything to defend yourself with.

Twice I am in this position tonight. I really need to buy some pepper spray or something.

The boy offered you his hand and you took it, only now asking the important questions. "Who are you?" He chuckled and dusted off your shoulder, quickly picking you up and running through the thick jungle as you hung on for dear life.

"My name is Felix." He explained vaguely, somehow not out of breathe even though he was sprinting at the pace only cheetahs run. "You'll understand when you meet Peter Pan."

Maneuvering through the brush with precision the US army doesn't have, the camp entrance appeared in almost no time. Your heart dropped to your stomach, feeling his presence in the air as he, the one who were 95% sure was Peter Pan, strode out of his tent. The fire made his green eyes sparkle even more as your gaze met his, the smile returning to his face. His reaction caused an uproar from the camp, breaking the trance he had on you.

The boy chuckled and looked at his followers. "Boys," he called, turning everyone's attention towards you as you shrunk on the tree log Felix made you sit on. "We have a very welcomed guest here tonight."

How do I make myself even smaller? You lowered your head as the question raced through your mind. They all seemed to hear your thoughts as the boys turned their heads back to their leader.

"She will be in my care the whole time she is here." An audible groan came from the boys and Peter snapped his fingers, a quiet snarl coming from his lips. "So eyes up boys," he bit his lip, looking you over, you'd face turning a deep shade of red even the night couldn't hide. "She may just be your new queen"

Embarrassment took over your being and your body just decided to walk away. This boy is too much. You thought, head in your hands as the noise of the camp disappeared behind you, but footsteps followed closely. The smiled had vanished from your capture's face as he tried to reason with you.

"Why are you walking away?" He asked. "Weren't you unhappy with your old life? I can offer you so much more than they ever could." You stopped in your tracks, trying to figure out if he was lying or not. Yes, life before sucked, but at least you weren't in the literal jungle with a potential serial killer. Unfortunately this is when your hangry side decided to kick in, leaving you with a side of potential untapped rage even gods fear.

"No, no, no." You replied, walking towards the boy who stood over you. "I am 95% sure this counts as kidnapping, I miss my freaking dog, you don't know my name, and I don't even know yours!" Turning around sharply, as you had made your point, you gasped as he appeared in front of you again, his eyes shining with an unfamiliar glow.

Your breath hitched in your throat as he got closer, backing you into a tree. The brown haired boy looked you over, the devilish grin returning to his face. His lips inched closer, brushing along your ear, your body unable to move.

"Don't worry dearie, by the time we're done, you'll know it very well."
