Zafina sat quiet watching the clock tick praying for it to speed up. "Zaza." She hummed tearing her eyes from the clock to Riley, her friend since middle school.

Her and Riley weren't always friends but after the constant following Zafina around and random gifts she gave in.

Zaza was a nickname granted to her by her eldest brother. It started when she was 14 and he always caught her high. Ever since it just stuck with her through high school, college, and now adulthood to some people.

"You going out with us tonight ?" She asked. Zafina shook her head. She was tired and just wanted to go home and take a nap.

She was tired of being in people's faces for the day. "Dang girl, you don't never go out. You gotta learn to live a little. Give that kitty kat some love" Riley said hopping back on her device typing vigorously.

Fina paid the comment no mind. She was used to hearing it. Riley always said that when she said no. Truth being she did want to go out, just not with Riley.

Riley was a messy drunk. She starts shit, pisses on herself, and throws up everywhere. Zafina tried one too many times and ended up playing babysitter instead of enjoying herself.

An alarm went off and Zafina picked up her book bag and left the table her and Riley resided at. She took her tab and stuck it in the machine clocking out and putting it on the other side of the board.

Zafina worked as a photographer. Some days she's bagged up like a Popeye's drive thru and other days she slow like Checkers workers. But today was a slow day. She only had one shoot that ended not too long before it was time for her to go.

She clicked the unlock button on her car keys which made a 2023 Camaro light up red. She smiled at the sight of her car knowing she was a step closer to being home.
