F1 Secrets- Rewritten

Restart- SP11

When the race officials came round and announced that the race was going to be restarted I looked at them in shock. I mean, it had been a really big crash and Lewis was almost lucky to be alive because the wreckage, when I drove past it, was a mess. Soon after we got told the race was going to be restarted, a Mercedes official came round and told us that Lewis was in a stable condition in hospital. Thank goodness for that!!! I looked around trying to spot Max but couldn't see him anywhere, as I was looking Christian came up next to me.

"Right Checo, you need to start getting ready for the race restart. I believe that Lando is not taking part in it but I'm not sure why."

"Ah, I understand why Lando isn't taking part."

Christian was about to start talking again when Lewis's race engineer, Bono, came over to us.

"Ah Christian, just the man I was looking for. Toto told me to tell you that your number one driver will not be taking part in the race restart," Bono said rather gleefully.

"And why exactly is Max not going to be racing?"

"Not sure, I just got told to tell you that he isn't, now if you'll excuse me, I need to be heading back to Mercedes."

He walked off, leaving me with the answer to why I couldn't find Max but also leaving me with plenty more questions. 

"Checo, do you have any idea why Max won't be taking part in the race restart?"

"No, sorry, I'm sure you can ask him later."

Christian just turned and went back to sit on the pitwall and I got busy with putting my helmet and race gear back on. As I was doing this, I could hear some of the presenters talking about why Lando and Max were missing and I was glad to hear that the other drivers were just as confused as I was that Max was not here. Eventually, it was time to restart the race and I hoped that there were no more accidents.
