~The very next day~
Esther took off early and drove to her son's school where his teacher and principal where waiting in the classroom. As she enters the classroom, she saw Jake in the corner by himself playing with building blocks.
"Hi Ms. Lee. Please come in."
Esther sits down on the chair. "What seems to be problem with my son, Miss. Choi?"
"No. He's a very sweet boy." The principal says.
"Then what's the problem?"
"Your son isn't socializing with the other students and we're just worried that if something may be happening at home."
Esther sighs deeply. "I recently found a job where I'm coming him late and by the time I arrive, he's usually asleep or doing his homework."
"When you have the chance, sit down and have a talk with him. He's a really sweet boy but he doesn't tell us anything." Miss. Choi says.
"But when he does talk, it's only with the counselor." The principal chips in.
"What did he say?" She asks.
"That students tease him for not having a father." The principal says.
Esther looks at the her who was content in the corner. "I had a harsh divorce before he was born and I even suffered several mental health problems even after he was born."
"Does he usually see him on the weekends?" The principal asks.
"No. I haven't seen his father ever since we got divorced." She says. "Not until now." She says in her mind.
"And you're right. I'm too focused on making money just for him to have a roof to live under, but i should of taken his feelings into consideration." Esther let's out a regretful sigh.
"I think the best solution for you to be more present in his life and help him socialize with others his age because when he grows up, he's not going to survive in the real world with the lack of communication."
"We just want him to excel in his school work and shape him into the best version of himself."
"I will talk to Jake." Esther says.
~Several Minutes Later~
Esther puts his seatbelt on for Jake as she closes the car door. She opens her side of the car and she sits in as she closes the door.
She sighs massively as she places her forehead onto the steering wheel. "I'm such a horrible mother. I focused more on my mental health than my own son." She whispers to herself.
"How am I going to tell him that his father is alive" she thought to herself. "How will he take the news?"
"Mom?! Are we going now?" Jake asks.
"Yes baby." Esther lifts her head up. "You know how spring break is coming right?" Jake nods.
"How would you like to go on vacation?" She asks, turning around.
"Yes!!!" He enthusiastically claps his hands. "Where mama?!"
"Does Jeju Island sound good?" She asks.
"YES! Let's go there!!"
Esther's smiles. "This will be a perfect time bond with my son." She says in her mind.
~A few days later~
It was lunch hour and Sana, Minnie, and Esther were in the lounge enjoying their lunches.
