As I waited for the test to finish I held my head in my hands as my elbows rested on my knees holding me up.
"You okay in here?" Jacob asked as he slowly opened the door.
"Yeah. The waiting is killing me" I said looking up.
He walked over to the counter. Picking up the test.
"Y/n.." he called.
"What?" I asked, standing up and rushing to his side.
Holy shit.
"It's positive again" I smiled.
His face grew into a wide smile.
He put the test down and wrapped his arms around me.
"I'm gonna make an appointment with my doctor to get an ultrasound" I spoke.
He nodded and let me go so I could call.

We're currently in the doctors office waiting for her to get the ultrasound ready.
"Okay are you ready?" She smiled.
I nodded in response and she did whatever she had to do.
She took the scan thing and placed it against my lower stomach.
She moved it around a bit, finding the right spot.
"There we go" she mumbled.
A small smile grew on her face as she looked at the screen.
Jacob and I followed her gaze.
"See that there" she said pointing to the screen.
"That's your baby" she smiled.
Jacob smiled widely and I did the same.
"Congratulations" she added.
I felt tears fill my eyes. Seeing the tiny little embryo that would soon be our baby made me happier than I would have imagined.
How could such a small thing bring me so much joy?

"So how are we gonna tell everyone?" Jacob asked as we pulled out the parking lot.
"I don't know but I want to make it cute" I replied.
He nodded and placed his hand on my thigh.
"I can't believe we're gonna have a kid" he beamed.
I smiled back at him. Admiring his excitement.
It made me happy seeing him so excited and eager. The fact that becoming a father was this important to him and that he wanted to keep trying and being so patient with me just made me fall more in love with him.
