Arriving in Japan was not that bad, sure it was peaceful compared to Las Vegas. But, there was something missing. So, instead of riding the service his big brother hired, Rex went to the city and immediately went and established his presence in the gambling community, easily bankrupting several gambling centers in an entire day. Now, by himself, the young man found himself contemplating his life.

He was just walking home after evading mot of the watchmen Schicksal has in the entire city. He found himself thinking about his classmates. Kiana Kaslana, cousin of Reinhardt's childhood friend, Mei Raiden, princess of some company, Bronya Zaychick, member of Cocolia's orphanage and member of a branch of house Crozzo, Lumine Celestia, Reinhardt's student. There are others too but he did not care too much about them.

"What do you want?" Rex asked, hand reaching towards his modified .45 pistol hidden under his knitted sweater.

"Courier six?" A man with light blue hair said with a smile as he entered the alley while Rex noticed a blonde dressed in a suit behind him. Hearing that title, Rex let out a small chuckle. "From where you're standing, this might seem like an 18-karat run of bad luck,"

"THE truth is, the game was rigged from the start," Rex finished as his hand stopped reaching for his gun and smirked while turning around. "That was what that guy was telling you when I rescued you, Ayato."

"Indeed, it was hard to track you," Ayato said with a smile before holding his hand out that held a milk tea. "Salted Caramel, just how you like it,"

"Well, I am a courier but you knowing where I am just means I got rusty," Rex said as he took the rink and stabbed the straw on the cup. "How did you know where I am?"

"You cleaned up one of the businesses under my family," Ayato said as he looked at Rex. "But as a payment for the favor I owe you, it's yours now, you gambling addict."

"What's the catch?" Rex asked, sipping the contents of his drink.

"I want you to take my little sister as your assistant and that 5% of the annual earnings go to my family, excluding Ayaka's pay. Also, I will take care of the bill for the first six months." Ayato said with a smirk, causing Rex to raise his brow but a gambling palace for his own was too tempting. "It also comes with a free coffee bar."

"You had me at coffee," Rex said, letting his coffee addiction win. Coffee was life and coffee was great. Sure, the place would serve as a base of operations for his plans.

"Very well, Thoma," Thoma approached the two.

'These two are big gae,' Rex thought as he noticed how the two seemed familiar with each other, his sunglasses hiding his eyes from view. Taking the suitcase, the young man nodded at Ayato before his eyes looked to the side. Checking the contents, the young man nodded at Ayato as he walked away.

"Why have Lady Ayaka be his assistant?" Thoma asked Ayato as they watched Rex walk away.

"Oh, I believe it would be well for Ayaka to have friends her age. Besides, Courier Six will protect her." Ayato said with a smile as he took out his phone. "After all, there would be no better guard than a Crozzo Ranger."

"Let me go! Reve! My baby brother needs me!" Reinhardt shouted as Reve watched his chained-up older brother try to get out from the chains of Judah.

"Rex will be fine!" Reve shouted as he secured his brother.

Rita saw this and shook her head at the idiot and Reinhardt. Honestly, why was she assigned to him as her maid?

"What are you two doing?" Rita froze as she turned around, a scythe in her arms as she looked at the form of her charge's younger brother. She never noticed him until he talked.

"Rex!" Reinhardt shouted as he tried to launch himself towards the youngest Crozzo, only failing because of the chains.

"You better not mess up my cooking!" Theresa Apocalypse's voice came from the kitchen.

"Sorry, Aunty Teri." Reve and Reinhardt said as Rex looked at them while shaking his head.

"I was out gambling," Rex said, casually ignoring the ay how his brothers and Theresa poked her head out of the door with a glare. "Here, have fun or something," Rex said, putting several credit cards on the table while going to his room.

"Honestly, he shouldn't have been stationed in Las Vegas," Theresa said as she knew of her nephew's gambling addiction. "And you! You shouldn't encourage him." Theresa said, glaring at Reinhardt who pouted.

In his room, Rex pulled his gun, a light shining in Darkness, and secured it on the table. Pulling out a case, the young man opened it, revealing a lot of weapons. An Anti-Material Sniper rifle, an ornate .357 magnum revolver, an ornate 9mm pistol, and more.

Taking a worn bible out of a bag, the young man opened it and smiled at a picture of a man wearing bandages all over his boy with a younger version of himself, both dressed in matching uniforms.

Smiling at a leather case, the young man looked at his heavily-modified anti-Honkai .45 automatic pistol. Opening his window curtain, the young man went to his seat and started his maintenance on his guns. His movements were fluid and meticulous while also being mechanical.

---

In front of his window, Kiana Kaslana noticed him, her new classmate. She did not think much about him, other than being a possible annoyance that might cut her time with her beloved Mei. I mean, he was a Crozzo, and Crozzos and Kaslanas were often partnered together. Kiana watched how he cleaned his weapons, eyes widening at the sight of how many guns he had.

"Kiana-Chan?" Mei asked as she looked at Kiana before noticing her new classmate preparing his weapons. She could see him mouthing some words.

"Courier six," Bronya whispered as she saw him. As if hearing her, Rex turned around, dark eyes piercing them before he went back to his maintenance.

"You know him, Bratnya?" Kiana asked while Bronya nodded.

"Da. Courier Six is a member of the Crozzo Family's North American branch stationed in Las Vegas and the Mojave." Bronya said. "He is a messenger."

"Pfft, a messenger, he must suck then," Kiana said with a smirk and proud smile,

Bronya said nothing as she replayed a memory in her mind. The day she first met him, the day he saved Seele, and how he turned the entire warehouse and all the mercenaries into an ocean of blood while armed with nothing but his fists.

"Hey, look! class rep is fighting someone on Instagram!" Kiana shouted, showing them the growing thread shared between Fu Hua and a random person.

---

Ayaka Kamisato frowned as she read the letter her brother had given her. She was supposed to be the assistant/secretary/co-owner of a new gambling center. She loved her brother, she really did but what was he planning?

She was gonna do it, she was going to work with this Rex.

Opening the letter, the young woman saw a photo of him. dressed in a white button-up shirt with a black vest over it. He also wore a pair of patched-up jeans and a pair of black shoes.

He was kind of cute...

---

Rex felt a shiver up his spine as he finished with his weapons.

"Why do I feel like my life just got harder?"
