Chapter 10 

I woke up in a hospital bed. I look to my right as and see a passed out Raven, with Sky and Asher on him. I sit up slowly, as the doctor comes in.

"Luna are you okay?"

"Yeah, what happened?"

"You went after the rogues, you had a few injuries."

"Had?" I asked, confused.

"You had a broken leg, broken arm and hand, a few broken ribs, and a sprained ankle."

"Oh." I mutter, "Am I good now?"

"Yes, you just have a busted lip, a few cuts and bruises but that's about it."

"How's Asher?" I ask, looking over at the little boy who slept on my mate.

"Nothing happened to him."

"Stuff happened to his mother." I say, as tears fall down my face, "She was ripped apart by the Rogues."

"I heard," The Doctor says, "That little boy wouldn't leave you... he seems to have grown connected to you. I would nurture that, have it grown between the two."

"Okay." I say, "Umm... do you have anything on his father?"

"He died before Asher was born," The Doctor says, "I still remember the day he came into this world."

"So he is alone?" I asked.

"Yes, which is why I want you to nurture that connection between the two."

"Thank you." I mutter, as I see Raven wake up.

"I will leave you two alone." The doctor says, before leaving.

"How are you?" He asks, as he puts the two kids on the chair carefully, before walking over to my side.

"I'm fine, the doctor said all my injuries were fully healed."

"That's good." He says, kissing me on the cheek, "Asher is a sweet kid."

"Since you're his alpha, did you know him?" I asked.

"I know everyone, his mother was a good friend of my family."

"I see." I say, "So what are we going to do with him?"

"We could find a couple in our pack to raise him." Raven suggested.

"Maybe." I say, "Someone that you trust and know wouldn't treat him horrible."

"Agreed." Raven says, as we both look over at Asher, who hugged Skye close.

"They look like siblings." I speak without thinking.

"But you have to remember, they aren't." Raven says.

"Guess so."

It's been a week. We have spent the past seven days and seven nights looking for the best couple to raise Asher. But whenever we spoke to some of them, they'd say taking in another pup was too much, or we already have pups of our own, or we don't want kids. It broke my heart that we haven't found the perfect match for Asher. He has been sleeping in a spare bedroom in Raven's home, and I've been pretty much raising him as our own flesh and blood.

"The end." I whisper, as I close the book I was reading to Asher. I looked down and saw that he was fast asleep, "Have a good nap." I slowly get off the bed and slowly leave the room. I look to my left and see Raven left Skye's nursery–since she was meant for her nap as well.
