"Maybe it's for the best" An Ashtray story.

Before it all.

I remember it was right after my dad died. My Memories from my childhood are a blur. I Remember bits and pieces but not much.

After me and Ashtray kissed, so much came back to me. 

FLASHBACK

"It's okay sweetheart, go say hello" My dad pushed 5 year old me towards the young boy standing in front of me.

"H-Hi. Im Valentina.." I mumbled putting my hand out, holding my teddy bear in my other hand

He stared at me and grabbed my hand suddenly, causing me jump at the sudden movement. "Ashtray" he said giving a toothy smile

"Ashtray? Thats a funny name!"{ I giggled smiling back letting go of his hand, him doing the same.

He frowned and my dad shooed me and ashtray into the house, it smelt like my house. Ashtray took me to his room and i stood in the doorway as he sat on the floor getting out some toys from under his bed.

"Come sit" He motioned to me so I sat down in front of him looking at the assortment of toys on the ground.

We played with toys for a bit before I set down the one I was playing with. "I'm bored, wanna play outside?" I asked smiling at him

He nodded and shoved all the toys back under his bed and grabbed my hand, leading me outside where we saw my dad and some orange headed man talking to my dad.

"Oh hey kiddos, Valentina meet Fezco, he's my friend." My dad said smiling as he walked up to me grabbing my hand.

"Hey kid how are you?" Fezco said crouching down to my eye level. I smiled and put my hand on his nose

He smiled and patted my head before standing up hand hugging my dad, "It was nice seeing you bro, but i got my guys coming soon so y'all gotta leave." Fezco said sighing

"ight man, see you later, good luck. Val say bye." My dad spoke slightly smiling. I knew what Fezco meant by "His guys" cause my dad's a drug dealer.

"Good luck with your drugs Mr. Fezco! Bye Bye Ashy!" I said waving to ash who waved back making a face at the nickname.

I climbed in the car but while doing so I heard Fezco ask Ashtray "So, Ashy huh?" He said laughing. which in response Ashtray crossed his arms and huffed.

By now me and Ashtray have been hanging out for 2 years. My birthday was in a few weeks and I had to pick people to invite, Ashtray was first on my list. I handed him a pink envelope. the only pink one, specifically for him. 

He opened it and saw the invitation. He smiled and nodded his head, the girl next to him, Juliana who was my close friend at the time, save that Ashtray got a special invite and smirked. "OOOOOOH ASHTRAY GOT A SPECIAL INVITEEE! VALENTINA LIKES ASHTRAY! VALENTINA LIKES ASHTRAY!" She yelled and everyone started laughing. 

My eyes teared up and i looked down at the ground. Ashtray balled his fists up, he hated seeing me upset and n multiple occasions punched people for messing with me.

ASHTRAYS POV

"VALENTINA LIKES ASHTRAY! VALENTINA LIKES ASHTRAY!" Th girl, JUliana next to me yells as the rest of the students start laughing. I felt the anger in me rise as I looked over at Val and she just  lowered her head and let the tears fall from her eyes.

I looked over at Juliana who was smirking and stood up, she wont be smiling soon. 

*thud* I punched her square in the nose and she fell to the ground crying holding her nose. I smirked at her. "Don't mess with Valentina Bitch." I said feeling proud
