Chapter 21
The scenery that appeared before them was of an unbelievably high mountain. It was the Fang Mountain! They were clearly back outside.
The only difference was that the valley had disappeared, replaced by the Mortal heaven sect. It was huge, almost thrice larger than the Long clan.
The entrance to the sect was a huge gate. The statues of two massive ancient Mortals wielding weapons stood on each side of the gate. The sight was breathtaking.
A group of elders waited by the gate. The leading elder was emanating the aura of a rank nine Yin level cultivator! Apart from Wu Kong, this was undoubtedly the strongest cultivator Long feng had ever seen.
"Welcome to the Mortal heaven inner court. I am the vice Chief of the inner court" The leading elder said. He looked at at everyone with discerning eyes, stopping on Long feng for a brief moment.
"These are all elders who manage the inner court. Wardens are also available to enforce rules within the sect. Now, all of you will be shown around the place" the elder said, waving his hand. A young man of about twenty years came out. Without even glancing at the new disciples, he clasped his fist and bowed to the elder.
"This is Jio yu, the strongest cultivator of the inner court. He is the first on the Ten inner Mortal heaven, which constitute the top ten of the inner court. He will show you to your living places." the elder said.
Jio yu stood up, and without looking at the disciples, he spoke,
"Follow me. And try to keep up" his voice was dripping with disdain and arrogance. Many took an instant dislike to him.
"I don't like him. He thinks he is some big shot?" Yan Jian muttered to Long Feng with a snort.
"Well, he is stronger than us." He replied.
Long Feng studied Jio yu. He was unable to see through his cultivation, but he guessed that he may be a middle Yin level cultivator, probably a rank two or three Yin level cultivator. For a youth, that was an impressive level.
They followed Jio Yu into the sect. There were many pavilions, palaces and fields in sight, but Jio yu introduced them to none. Most of them even had to run with all their strength just to keep up.
The elders all returned to a huge palace in the middle of the sect. The palace was a restricted area, so there were no disciples around. Within the palace was a huge hall. There were two men in the hall. Although both of them looked quite young, they were almost hundred years old.
Upon entering the hall, all the elders knelt down and bowed, even the rank nine Yin level cultivator!
"We pay respect to inner court Chief Zhang and management elder Bei!" They greeted simultaneously.
The two men nodded.
"Any worthy person?" The inner court Chief; Elder Zhang asked.
"Yes elder Zhang. Three good talents, a dozen passable talents and one untalented disciple." The vice inner court Chief said.
Elder Bei's eyebrow raised curiously.
"Untalented disciples, in the inner court? Could you explain what you mean by Untalented?" He asked.
The vice Chief frowned slightly.
"This..... Elder Bei, this person is totally untalented. Not a single rune glowed on the talent platform. Instead, the runes dimmed." he said.
Elder Zhang frowned.
"And you let him into the inner court? Are you trying to make a joke out of the inner court or what?" He asked, his voice raises slightly.
The vice Chief felt a chill run up his spine.
"No... No.....the..... Person is quite special. He possess soul power, and his soul power is very special." He replied. All of the elders were sweating. Not just because elder Zhang was the inner court Chief, but also because he was a rank one Yang level cultivator!
Hearing that, elder Zhang's curiosity was piqued.
"Special? How special?" He asked.
The elders all felt relieved.
"He..... His soul power was unbelievably pure and yet it was able to pressure a rank five Yin level cultivator who was guarding the valley. It was far brighter and stronger than even Lin Dong's soul power."
Lin Dong was the strongest of the disciples who possessed soul power within the sect.
"Interesting." Elder Zhang murmured.
"We would have to first ask Lord Yi Ming. If he takes interest in this person and wishes to train him, then fine. If not, he will have to leave the sect" Elder Zhang said.
"By the way, what is the name of this person?" Elder Bei asked.
"He is surnamed Long and named Feng." The vice Chief replied.
"You can leave." Elder Zhang said.
All the elders instantly stood up and left the palace.
"This boy, Long feng, he sounds interesting. I have a feeling there is more to him" elder Zhang said slowly.
Elder Bei nodded.
"I have never heard of a totally talentless person. He reminds me of that legendary person. The talent testing stone also didn't work on him. It turned out his talent was greater than the stone could withstand" he replied.
Elder Zhang was stunned.
"Are you saying that this Long feng's talent also surpasses the talent platform? And he may also reach that legendary realm above the imperial realm like that legendary person?" He asked.
Elder Bei smiled.
"I don't really mean that, but who knows? It may happen. Then, our Mortal heaven sect would finally be able to raise our heads in a gathering." He replied.
"That legendary person was one of a kind. He moved through the whole Continent unhindered. Even the Yihua clan didn't dare offend him. I don't think anyone can reach his level." Elder Zhang muttered, shaking his head. Just thinking about that legendary figure made him shiver! He had the strength to destroy the entire Yihua clan! And the Yihua clan were the rulers of the whole Continent! Sadly, even with his unbelievable strength, he still died after two thousand years. Still, his mere name made people shiver with awe and respect.
The Profound Martial Deity.
That was what he was called. He founded the profound martial sect. At that time, the profound martial sect was even stronger than the Yihua clan, but after the profound martial deity's death, the sect declined. Even then, they were as strong as the Yihua clan. Finally, they disappeared totally. Their whereabouts was had been a mystery for the past two thousand years.
Elder Zhang couldn't believe that there was anyone whose potential reached the profound martial deity's. It didn't seem possible at all. There had to be another explanation to this.
He and elder Bei left the palace and went to the core court, where Lord Yi Ming resided.
