EMI'S POV ~ SURVIVING THE CUT! THE ROOKIE NINE TOGETHER AGAIN!

I was stood beside Minato. We both smiled as Naruto and Sasuke made their way in.

"First of all, congratulations on finishing the second exam!" Anko

"Who! Everyone's here! Mom! Dad! Old man Hokage, Iruka-Sensei and even bushy brow. It looks like no one got left out this time." I smiled at Naruto's words.

"Alright! Now pay attention! Lord Hokage is going to explain the third exam to you." Anko finished.

Minato nodded and stepped forward. "We hold these exams to showcase our power and strength. Your strength is our villages strength. We carry the pride of our nation on our backs during these exams. We want to showcase our very best. Which is why we will be holding a preliminary round to cut the number of candidates down." Minato nodded to Hayate.

EMI'S POV ~ NARROWING THE FIELD: SUDDEN DEATH ELIMINATION!

I watched as Kabuto dropped out of the exam.

Anko was trying to convince my husband to take Sasuke out of the exams due to the curse mark, but I knew Minato wasn't going to do that.

SASUKE UCHIHA VS YOROI AKODA

"Go Sasuke!" I cheered.

Minato gripped the bars. "Yeah!" He cheered.

Which caught the attention of everyone in the room.

Minato and I both swear dropped.

Ibiki coughed. "Lord Hokage. You can't show favoritism you know."

Minato stared sweating.

I giggled. Then I gasped as I looked at the battle.

Sasuke was on the ground with Yoroi on top of him, absorbing his chakra.

'He's taking his chakra?' I thought.

Kurama nodded.

EMI'S POV ~ BUSHY BROWS JEALOUSY: BARRAGE OF LIONS UNLEASHED!

I watched next to my husband as Sasuke kicked Yoroi off him.

"Sasukes exhausted. Do you think he'll win?" I asked.

Minato just nodded once never taking his eyes off the match.

"That! That looks like Might Guys move!" I said.

My eyes widened seeing the curse mark on Sasuke, but then much to everyone's surprise it receded.

With a yell of "Lions barrage!" Sasuke was announced as the winner.

Kakashi then took Sasuke away.

ZAKU VS SHINO

"How is he going to fight with 2 broke arms?" Minato whispered to me.

"Mhm." I shrugged.

EMI'S POV ~ KAKASHI AND OROCHIMARU: FACE TO FACE!

"Kakashi is sealing the curse mark correct?" I whispered to my husband.

Minato nodded.

Shino had Zaku surrounded.

Zaku yelled and to everyone's surprise used both his arms.

With a yell, I watched as Zaku's arms exploded. Both of them.

With a punch, Shino had defeated Zaku.

Shino was announced the winner.

Zaku was carried out by the medical unit.

KANKURO VS TSURUMI

"I am looking forward to seeing what the sand village has to offer." Minato said.

I nodded.

EMI'S POV ~ KUNOICHI RUMBLE: THE RIVALS GET SERIOUS!

I watched as Kankuro removed the thing on his back. I quirked a brow.

"Must be a puppet master jutsu." I said.

Minato nodded. "The sand village is known for their puppet masters."

I watched as the puppet became Kankuro and the puppet crushed Tsurumi. In the end he gave up.

Kankuro was announced as the winner.

After a brief intermission we all returned.

INO YAMANAKA VS SAKURA HARUNO

As the girls started fighting, I noticed immediately the girls weren't being serious.

Then Ino slapped her.

"Now they'll get serious." Minato said.

I watched as the girls tied their ninja headbands to their forehead and started a real fight.

I giggled which caught Minato's attention. "The rivals get serious."

He smiled.
