DUSK HAS a smile on his lips while signing a billion-dollar Crown hotel construction project in Dubai while using an eighteen-carat gold fountain pen.

It's not because he's going to have another hotel to add to his multi-billion dollar Crown chain of hotels and resorts but he's using something that Hyacinth has gifted him. An expensive fountain pen.

Kasama niya rin ang kapatid niyang si Lorch na siyang lead architect sa pagdidisenyo sa hotel. The Crown Construction which his brother owns will oversee the building of the hotel.

Pagkaalis ng mga ka-meeting nila ay agad niyang tinaasan ng kilay ang kapatid niyang nasa kanya ang atensyon habang nakangisi.

"What?" Dusk asked, grinning.

"What's up with the unwavering grin? Don't tell me it's because of the successful business contract because you always have a poker face whenever there is one."

Dusk showed the pen. "This."

Lorch scowled, confused. "First time mong gumamit ng mahal at gold pen?"

Dusk tsked, shaking his head. "It's Hya's gift for my birthday five years ago."

"Five years ago?" Lorch asked, frowning.

"Oo. Ngayon niya lang binigay dahil ngayon lang kami naging close," saad niya.

Gusto man niyang ipagmayabang na mahal siya ni Hya mula noong kolehiyo pa lang sila ay itatago niya iyon sa sarili niya. It's better for his family and friends to think he fell first. Ayaw niya rin na mahiya si Hya. Halata naman na nahihiya ito na mula noon ay mahal siya nito kahit noong girlfriend pa niya si Harley. Besides, he doesn't want to boast about something that he knew hurts Hyacinth in many ways.

"Why did she buy you a gift?" Kunot ang noo na tanong ni Lorch.

"Because I helped her once," he lied with a shrug.

Kinuha ni Lorch ang hawak niyang fountain pen at siniyasat iyon.

"She gifted you this expensive pen for helping her?" Lorch asked, not believing him. "I have one like this in my office and it costs roughly fifty-thousand bucks."

Kinuha niya ang iyon pabalik saka binulsa. "Yep, kung ayaw mo maniwala 'di 'wag," aniya at tinungo ang pintuan palabas ng conference room.

"I'm merely shocked," Lorch defended.

Dusk just nodded and went back to his office while his brother went to do his own business.

Pagkapasok niya sa opisina ay nilagay niya ang fountain pen sa lalagyan niyon bago nagtungo sa suite na konektado sa opisina niya kung saan naabutan niya si Hya na abala sa pagluluto.

Sina Alleanna at Dark naman ay naglalaro sa sala.

Hinalikan niya ang dalawang anak nila sa ulo saka pinuntahan si Hya sa kusina.

Dusk wrapped his arm around her waist while skimming his hand on her behind.

"What do you have for lunch, ma fleur?" he asked, kissing her shoulder and the crook of her neck, pulling her body too to huddle into him.
