Sergeant Gomez came bustling through the crowd and made his way to the dozens of villagers who were in despair.

"What is going on here? A Robbery you say? Lead me to it!"

One particular villager, a middle aged man took the burden of being the spokesperson.

"Its currently happening at La Paisano which is not too far from here. Please hurry! "

After the man said where the robbery was happening, Sergeant Gomez grabbed his gun and his keys and ordered the people to stay where they were.

"Dino, Rinonte and Sergio with me! Delgado and carlos for backup(squad 1) and squad 2! Let's move now! Civilians, stay here for now. It is safe"

"Yes sir!" We all shouted in unison.

I made sure to take my gun with my notebook and a pen and swiftly made my way to my designed vehicle with my partner for this mission.

"Make sure to be on your guard! We only kill if we have to!" Sergeant Gomez ordered.

Sergeant Gomez entered his car and paused for a moment.
I've got a bad feeling about this...

We drove as fast as we could to get to the grocery store but even though it was close, it seems as if we were too late. The scene was atrocious. Broken windows, a mess all at the entrance, broken lights, graffiti on the outside and you could faintly see a massive mess on the inside.

Out of all the places to rob, they decided to rob a grocery store? What were they hoping to find? I thought to myself.

Before we exited the vehicles, sergeant Gomez quickly got a hold of the radio and gave us orders.

"Ok listen up! I want this done as swiftly and neatly as possible. The place already looks like a dump! The hostages are the priority. Be on your guard! I have a bad feeling about these robbers."

"Well received Chief." I replied.

My team and the back up #2 crouched all the way to the back of the store. The main squad entered through the front so that we could get the hostages without much problems. Carlos did a quick scan of the area.

"Everybody stop! This is the regional police! You are all under arrest!"

That was Sergeant Gomez's voice. That was our cue to get in and out as fast as possible without drawing attention to ourselves.

Carlos Drew closer to me and started whispering.

"Ok, I spotted the hostages. They're keeping them on the far left side which is aisle 13. I only saw 2 goons. Both Armed. Not heavily. But there was something really strange about them that I can't put my finger on."

"And what was that?"

"I am not sure if it's simply my mind playing tricks on me based on what Sergeant Gomez said but on the side of their necks, I saw an upside down cross? Very faintly and quite small but If you look closely, you could see that something is there."

I pondered his words carefully. It was hard to focus with all the commotion that was going on at the other side of the store with the main squad.

"I'm telling you one more time! Drop your weapons and surrender!" Sergeant Gomez yelled.

"Make us!" One of the goons yelled.

"Carlos, we have to do fast! It could get ugly real quick. Let's move!"
I urgently whispered.

We both moved quickly to aisle 13 while being as quiet as possible and when we got there, I saw what motherly guy was talking about. The 2 men not only had upside down crosses on the side of their necks, but they also looked much more feral. Their muscles were bulging, you could see their veins popping out everywhere and they were moving erratically. We have to proceed with caution.
