The night was dark and the city quiet. Everybody has returned to their homes, spending time with their family or either sleeping. An adult man is out jogging with his dog in the neighborhood of acapulco. Acapulco is generally a safe town...

Or so he thought.

The man has jogged in this area countless times before. He was not too worried about what could happen. There is a strong police force in Acapulco. But this night was a bit different. The moon had a bloody color to it. The area was more foggy than usual and the air felt tense...as if something was lurking in the shadows.

Unfortunately, the man was oblivious to all of this. But his dog could sense this sinister aura. The man was approaching his "break area". In the break area, there was a little pond to his right with a chair for people to sit and relax. There was also a modest house on the right. It seemed unoccupied. The area was surrounded by minimal trees.

As the man sat down to catch his breath, his dog started to bark ferociously towards the pond. The man thought nothing of this and urged his dog to stay calm. But the dog wasn't listening and he was barking even more ferociously. The man rolled his eyes and urged his dog to stay put while he went to investigate the pond.

He approached the pond rather closely and stood still for a minute, trying to catch something moving. The man did not see anything. As he turned around to go back to the bench, a creature popped out of the water and grabbed him tightly, biting into the left side of his neck. The man was screaming and trying to break free of this creature's embrace but the creature was far more stronger than he was.

"You are mine" the creature said menacingly.

The man was trying to yell for help but instead he just screamed out of pain. The dog was attempting to defend its owner and after biting deeply in the creature's leg and ripping out a chunk, the creature finally let go and retreated back into the pond.

The man, still so very startled, ran with his dog as fast as he could with all the strength that he could muster, away from the area, trying to find a hospital.

The creature limped to the house on the left and fell right to the ground as soon as it entered and winced in pain. A very attractive woman approached the creature and kneeled down.

"What happened?"

She did not seem to be startled by the sight of blood or the lack of flesh on his left leg.

The creature sat up and spoke.

"That damned dog! I had sunk my teeth in the man's neck and it ripped out my flesh! In all my life I have NEVER failed to get a victim! I want my revenge!'

The woman chuckled.

"Sweetheart, there are always others to bite on. The city is filled with victims, young and old. We still have time before the blood moon rises"

The man let out a frustrated sigh.

"I know mi amor. But if we want our plan to work, we need to start early. Who knows what may happen. Cihuateteo requires a lot of blood to Summon."

The woman picked up the man.

"Aye be gentle!"

The woman chuckled and rolled her eyes.

"Oh don't be such a baby. It's an easy fix. Let us go back to our home and recuperate. We have a lot of work and planning to do"
