TW: DEATH
They finally got an ID on the body, 9-year-old Sophie Fallon. She's been missing since the day I came home which has been almost 3 months. The coroners have no clue when she died. They noted she was cold to the touch which meant she was most likely kept frozen. The cold would slow the decomposition process a great deal, especially if she was kept in a freezer below 32 degrees. You can't make an accurate prediction from tampered evidence. Another thing is her blood was drained from her carotid artery, which is odd. He hasn't done anything like this to his victims before, why now? Is this guy finally going off the deep end? Well, deeper end I suppose.
Why did he decide to break his pattern and kill now? I mean I could take a guess and say she was killed on October 19. Did he really keep her until now? Why did he decide to show her now? Why not when I got back? I bet he wanted to build false hope and have it all crashing down.
I've spent days just trying to get even a sliver of evidence. Whoever this guy is, he's good. Definitely experienced to say the least. The station seems to think the last murder isn't related. Rightfully so I suppose. The M.O. is different. I couldn't help but think this is the same guy though. Every year our suspect has made all of these deaths look like suicides, but not this one. Why not this one? What's so special about it?
