One night, Harry was out on a job when he was ambushed by a group of gangers. They attacked him viciously, leaving him bruised, battered and bleeding on the cold, hard pavement. Harry's heart pounded with fear as he struggled to fend off his attackers, but he knew that he was outnumbered and outmatched. Just when he thought all was lost, he heard the familiar sound of River's voice calling out to him.

River had been on his way home from a long day at the NCPD precinct when he saw the gangers attacking Harry. Without a second thought, he charged into the fray, his fists flying as he tried to defend his friend. However, he too was quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of attackers, and before he knew it, he was lying next to Harry, battered and broken.

As they lay in the hospital beds, recovering from their injuries, Harry and River couldn't help but feel like they had been through a war. They had always known that Night City was a dangerous place, but they had never imagined just how brutal and unforgiving it could be. As they talked about what had happened, they realized that they couldn't go on like this. They needed to do something to protect themselves from the dangers that lurked around every corner.

And so, they made a vow to each other. A vow to always watch each other's backs, no matter what. They promised to be there for each other in times of need, to help each other through the darkest of moments. They knew that they couldn't rely on anyone else in this city, but they could rely on each other.

As they continued to recover, Harry and River spent more and more time together. They talked about their hopes and dreams, their fears and anxieties. They discovered that they had more in common than they ever thought possible. They both loved the thrill of danger, the rush of adrenaline that came with every close call. They both wanted to make a difference in this city, to do what was right, even if it meant putting themselves in harm's way.

Despite the danger that surrounded them, Harry and River found solace in each other's company. They would go on long walks through the neon-lit streets, talking about everything and nothing. They would watch the sun rise over the city, marveling at its beauty and its cruelty. They would sit in silence, just enjoying each other's presence, knowing that they were safe as long as they were together.

And as time went on, Harry and River's bond grew stronger. They began to see each other in a new light, not just as friends, but as something more. They would steal glances at each other when they thought the other wasn't looking, their hearts pounding with a mix of fear and desire.

One night, as they sat on a rooftop, watching the city sprawl out beneath them, Harry turned to River and said, "I don't want to just be your friend anymore. I want to be more than that. I want to be your partner, your lover, your everything."

River's heart skipped a beat as he looked into Harry's eyes. He had been thinking the same thing for so long, but he had been too afraid to say it out loud. But now, as he looked at Harry, he knew that he couldn't hold back any longer.

Without a word, River leaned in and kissed Harry, his lips soft and gentle against Harry's. It was like a spark had been lit inside of him, a flame that burned brighter and hotter with every passing moment.

And in that moment, they both knew that they had found something special. Something that was worth fighting for, worth protecting, no matter what Night City had in store for them. They
