"Liana, have you seen this?" my best friend, Emily asks me whilst shoving a magazine article in my face. "The Wolf Prince?" I queried while pushing my curly hair out of my face. "No, the flying pigs. YES THE WOLF PRINCE! Or should I say the Wolf King," Emily exclaimed.

I looked at her with confusion. Did I miss the Wolf Prince's coronation? No, even though I skip most events I wouldn't dare skip his coronation! "What do you mean Wolf King? I don't remember attending a coronation" I argued.

"It was held privately but it's true he is now the king," Emily replied. Wow, my parents never thought to tell me about this. I know we weren't super close but that doesn't mean I should be left in the dark.

A new king is a big deal especially since it's the highest rank a werewolf can possess. Emily seemed to read my mind and explained, "It was very recent. Your family probably hasn't gotten the chance to talk to you about it yet. I mean you're always busy." That's not completely impossible. It was normal for me to find out about information later than my family anyway. All of a sudden, I was torn from my thoughts when my father walked into my bedroom.

"Thanks for knocking, dad" I muttered in a slightly annoyed tone. My father looked at me with a stressed out look on his face. He had dark circles under his eyes and looked very tired . His eyes drifted to Emily who was sitting next to me on my bed and he gave her a sweet smile.

"Lovely to see you, Emily," he asserted. "I have an important matter to discuss with you both," he added. I looked at Emily and she gave me an encouraging expression. I looked back at my father.

"And what would that be?" I proclaimed in a polite tone.

"I'm hoping you both heard about our new king," he began. Emily and I nodded. "Well, because he had a private coronation the former queen has asked Wineria to host the Royal Celebratory Ball," he continued.

Usually when there were Royal events I would conjure some excuse to not attend. Wineria was not often asked to host the events so it was rather easy to avoid them. I did not like attending such events because I don't have a very significant role in the hierarchy. Most viewed me as the most useless royal family member. Even though I do a lot for my pack I don't really hold much power because I'm not an heir.

"I was hoping you girls could possibly plan the event. I would do it myself but I-" he started but I cut him off.

"Of course we will help you, dad," I interrupted with pity written all over my face. He gave me a toothy grin.

"Thank you, Ladies," he concluded and left my room.

Emily dramatically yawned and my head snapped to her direction. She giggled at my reaction to her yawn. I turned my head to look at my alarm clock. It read 8:57 pm. Almost 9:00. "I'm going to go take a shower, you can watch some tv while I'm gone," I announced while handing her the tv remote. She nodded with a smile and took the remote. At that I went to take a nice shower. I loved the shower.

(By the way I think I forgot to mention this but Liana & Emily both live in the palace of Wineria. Emily's dad is the Winerian king's beta.)

                                                                               -The next morning-

"Rise and shine, Liana," Emily bellowed. I just groaned and pulled the blanket over my face. Emily frowned and stared at me for about a minute. Suddenly, a devilish smirk plastered her face. She then started to violently tickle my stomach. I kicked and screamed practically begging for her to stop. She backed away after I had started crying because I was laughing so much. She laughed loudly and clapped her hands.
