(Noah's POV)

After finally marking Liana, I had a queen and a mate. She agreed to come back to Wolfslandia Island with me which I felt bad about asking her to do. I wish things could be different and she didn't have have to leave. I'm glad she said yes though- I couldn't imagine living without her.

My beta texted me that he had landed in Wineria and was was on his way to the palace. Liana and I decided to begin to walking back to the castle to meet him there.

After walking for about 15 minutes we made it to the castle gates. Liana shouted something in Winerian and the castle doors open. "How do you guys do that?" I asked curiously.

"It's a code in Winerian it's how the patrol security know when to open the doors. Only people who live or work at the castle know this code," she explained as we approached the royal family quarters. The royal family quarters is where Liana & her family stayed. They gave my family the extra room in their wing because they wanted us to be as comfortable as possible.

We walked into the royal dining room and were met with both of our families sitting together. My mother looked up at us and a huge grin grew on her face. "You've marked her!" She exclaimed happily. Suddenly, everyone looked up and smiles formed on their faces. They all came running up to us with congratulations and excitement. Emily snatched Liana away because Liana was starting to get visibly overwhelmed.

I liked Emily. She seemed to take good care of my mate. It was clear they are very good friends. I'm glad my beautiful Liana has someone like that in her life. My beta, Leo, is my best friend. We grew up together since his dad was my dad's beta and best friend.

Liana's family and mine seemed to calm down and take their seats again. I looked around for Liana but it seems her and Emily disappeared. I should probably give them some time alone to talk. While I wait for them to come back, I sit next to my mother engaging in small talk with both of our families.

(Liana's POV)

When Noah and I returned to the castle, our families smothered us in congratulations and excitement. It was nice at first but I started to get overwhelmed. Luckily, Emily noticed and helped me slip away. We escaped to an another room so we could talk.

Emily sat on a couch and patted the spot beside her signaling me to sit. We both got comfortable and Emily began to study my appearance. "You've got a mark on your neck so clearly you two had a productive afternoon," she said playfully while wiggling her eyebrows. I give her a little shove to match her energy. "I guess that means your the queen?" She asked more serious and I nodded.

"I will miss you dearly, Li. I love you like a sister but I'm so happy for the future that awaits you," she continued. Tears began to well in my eyes. I took her hand and our matching gold bracelets glistened by our movements.

I wiped my eyes with my free hand and sniffled. "Emily you are my sister. You will always have a special place in my heart. I'll call you everyday and Noah said you can visit whenever you want," I reassured her. I pulled her in a hug and we stayed there for a while. We didn't need to say anything else.

I finally felt less overwhelmed so me and Emily decided to head back. We walked back to the royal dining room and Emily started to get antsy.

"I feel really weird. My wolf is driving me insane," she said with a confused tone. That's how I felt before I met Noah. I smirked and sniffed the area. Maybe someone had entered the palace? I kept quiet because I didn't want to get Emily's hopes up.

I opened the doors to the dining room and saw Noah with another muscular man beside him. The man was staring at my direction but it wasn't me he was looking at. He was looking at Emily.
