The Adventures of Dad Dio and Baby Giorno

Adventure 8: The Aquarium

IN THIS AU DIO DOES NOT LIVE IN THE MANSION

Dio and Giorno had just woken up from a short nap. Dio wasn't sure what to do, since he had a lot of time on his hands. Dio looked out the window, to see it was raining hardly. He watched as the mini "rivers" formed on the side of the curbs.  

"Fish season 'ey?" Dio says. 

Suddenly, Dio has an idea. 

"Fish, water, that's it! Why don't we go to the aquarium!"  Dio thinks to himself.  

"Alright Gio, today we're going to the aquarium! " Dio says to Giorno. 

Giorno just giggles in response. After all, he can't understand English yet since he's still a baby. 

Dio starts packing everything he and Giorno would need. Both Giorno and Dio had never been to an aquarium before, so it would be a new experience for the both of them. 

"Alright baby food, pacifier, extra diapers, all checks!" Dio mumbles to himself, making a mental checklist in his head. 

Dio had recently found out the local aquarium was only a 5 minute walk from the house he and Giorno lived in, so transportation wouldn't be necessary. Lucky for them, the rain had just stopped and the sun was out, so Dio could walk with Giorno in his stroller without worrying about him getting wet. 

Dio got Giorno ready, put him in the stroller, and exited his house. 

When they finally got to the aquarium Dio went up to the entrance where you got your stamps. Dio had already paid for the two tickets online, so he just needed to get the stamps. 

"Hello sir,  have you already paid for your tickets?" the staff member at the entrance asked. 

"Yes I have," Dio says showing his small phone to the employee. 

"Alright, could I please stamp your hand, and the little child's hand?" the staff member asked. 

"Of course" Dio says. 

The staff member then stamps Dios and Giornos hands. The stamp was the logo of the aquarium, which was a big blue whale. 

"Enjoy your stay!" the staff member says, as she opens the gate to the aquarium. 

Dio looks around in awe as he sees all the colorful fish swimming around in their huge tanks. He decides to look at the jellyfish first.  

"Wow Gio would you look at that! All those pretty jellyfish! " Dio says.  

"J-Jewwyfwish" Giorno manages to mumble. 

"Hm? What did you say?" Dio asks. 

"Jewwyfwish, jewwyfwish jewwysfwish jewwyfwish!" Giorno repeats. 

"Yes Gio those are jellyfish! You are quite smart just like your father!" Dio says beaming with pride. 

Dio decided to go look at the tank closest to the jellyfish one. He stared in awe (once again), at all the little colorful creatures. 

"Wow, this is so cool!" Dio exclaims like a little kid. 

After looking at a few more tanks, Giorno starts to cry. 

"Aww Gio, what's wrong? Hmm... Let me guess your hungry? Alright let's go find a place to eat." Dio says to his little child. 

After looking for a bit, Dio settles down on a bench outside of the aquarium. He takes the baby food out of his backpack, lifts Giorno out of the stroller, and starts feeding him. 

"Say ahhh" Dio says. 

Giorno opens his mouth and Dio has no problems feeding Giorno this time. 

(Just so you know, Dio is now able to feed Giorno without any problems) 

Dio finished feeding Giorno and got back inside the aquarium. He checked the time and saw that the seal show was going to start in a short few minutes! 

Dio got there just in time, to see the seals there and a couple ofstaff members. 

Dio watched in awe at all the tricks the seals were doing. Giorno started giggling since he was watching it to (at least it seemed like he was) 

"Gio, you like this as well? I mean I can't blame you this really is amazing!" Dio says. 

Once the show was done, Giorno looked tired so Dio figured they should head back home. Since Dio wasn't all that tired, he just gently set Giorno in his crib, since he had now fallen asleep.  Meanwhile, Dio went back to chilling like before, and figured he would just fall asleep slowly but surely.
