Requiem: A Mass for the of the souls of the dead.
" LOGAN!"
I wondered if I could just hide up here forever. The roof was comfortable enough. I've slept in worse places.
"LOGAN REQUIEM!"
I pull my knees to my chest, hoping they would just give up and leave me be. I wanted a break until I had to go deal with all of the other students. I didn't want to talk to him right now.
" LOGAN ANGELICA AMORTENIA REQUIEM!"
I sigh, the shouting begining to hurt my ears. I still decide not to respond. After about ten minutes, I believe that Blaze must have given up to either A. hang out with his friends or B. to go look for me elsewhere. I assumed the former.
The first day of Hogwarts. Starting in the sixth year. So many people say I've changed so much since my first year. Then why didn't I feel changed? I still felt like the same lost eleven year old kid with light brown hair and overly noticible dimples.
I know I should go down, but, truely, I doubt anyone was looking for me. Theo barely does, and Blaze gives up to easily. No one ever looks for me. I look over to my combat boots, still sitting on the edge next to me.
" You know," a voice behind me says," Everyone is looking for you."
I turn to turn my head to look over at him, the corners of my mouth tugging up ever so slightly," I know, Mattheo."
I hear the tap of his shoes as he settles himself next to me on the roof. " Worried everyone will stare at you?"
" Yes, but your going to get some stares, too."
"But I'm used to them."
"So am I."
"No your not."
"Yes, I am."
Riddle just shakes his head in frustration. I turn my head to look back into the abyss. We just sit there for a while. I don't know how long we sat in silence it must have been a while though. Perhaps an hour, because Mattheo had taken out a cigarette. I had taken out my cigarettes as well, if not more subconsiously.
A whif of smoke curls from my lips," Do we have to go to the opening ceromony?"
"No," Smoke blows from his mouth," We can stay up here as long as we want." That made me feel a bit better. I knew that if I stayed here Mattheo would stay with me or if I left he would too.
" Let's just stay up here forever."
"As you say, Sweetheart."
I bring the cigarette back to my lips," Why is everyone expected to go to the ceremony anyway? It's not like theres anything interesting happening. Same thing every year."
" Who knows."
" How'd you know I was up here, anyway?"
He smirked," Your quite predictable. It was either here or the astronomy tower."
"You didn't tell Blaze, right?" I ask, even though I already know the answer. Blaze is generally pretty nosy. I don't want him to find my safe space. He'd tell the whole school. Mattheo knows this. He might tell me yes just to piss me off.
"No," Mattheo says," Think I'm that much of an asshole, Requiem?"
"Yes, asshole." I smirk as he gives me a glare.
He replies," Your as much of an asshole yourself."
I pretend to look offended, and scoff," Hey! Only I can call myself an asshole."
