"You should come to the party tonight, babe," Theodore whispers in my ear.
" Another party?" I turn to face him," It's only the first week of school." Are Gryffindors completley crazy? By the actual first day of classes, All these houses are going to be out of this world hungover.
Theo smiles at me," Yeah, but this time it's a Slytherin party." Nevermind, My house is crazy. "People are going to notice if you don't show up." I doubt it. Everyone will be too drunk to notice I was never there in the first place.
"Doubt it. I've got homework from potions."
"Homework, already? Classes don't even start till tommorow." He gives me an exasperated look.
I shrug it off," I asked for some extra curicular." Lies. How I get out of everything.
"Your to smart for your own good," Theo chuckles, pulling me towards him. Then, whispering in my ear, " Your lucky your hot." I pull away, smiling, a blush crossing my face. Even though I know that was blatantly a lie. I am not pretty, let alone hot. I mask my urge to look at the floor, ashamed.
"I might come," I finally respond.
He gives me a pouting face," Please."
I laugh," Fine. I'll come, you needy little thing."
" Party starts at 6. Slytherin common room, obviously." His face sparks with joy, but I ignore the fact I see a spark of something else behind it. It's probably nothing. Theo gives me a hug, burying his face into the crook of my neck.
"Love you," I say, playing with his hair. Again, he doesn't respond until maybe five minutes later.
"Love you, too."
....
"Where are you going?" Theo whines as he reaches out to pull me back into the bed.
" It's nearly 5 o'clock," I laugh," I have to go get ready. You still want me to go, right?"
"Yes," He mumbles into his pillow," But you don't have to dress up."
"You'd better get ready, too," I say, giving him a peck on the lips. I slip out the door of his dorm, winding through a hallway to get to the girls dorms. Down the hall to the girls dorms I see none other than Pansy Parkinson. She doesn't really talk to me. Her jerk friend, Astoria, used to bully me in fifth year.
"Hey," Pansy tells me as I walk by, clearly not seeing who had just walked by her. I don't respond. She was probably talking to someone else, definitley not me.
I open the door to my dorm, padding to the bathroom after I'd locked the door. Turning on the shower as I strip off my clothes. The steaming water hits my back, and I jump a bit until my skin gets used to the angry hot water.
I still don't really want to go to the party, but I really love Theo and he would love it if I went. I wonder if mattheo will be there. Probably not, though. He never comes to these kinds of things. I don't either usually.
Parties aren't really my thing. I prefer to spend my time in the astronomy tower. My mother used to love reading us bedtime stories about the stories of the sky. Like Selene and Helios or Artemis and Apollo. I used to love Artemis. I always thought she could protect me through anything, but then the harshness of reality kicked in at age six, and I quit dreaming.
I step out of the shower, towel wrapped around my waist, strapless bra already on. I run into my bedroom to get my only really showy dress out of the closet. It's an interesting thing. Mid thigh long Red silk with a heart shaped neckline and spagetti strapped, hugging all of my curves. I hate it.
