"Rocky's here! Rocky's here!" These were the sounds the girl woke up to as she shuffled around on her palette on the floor. Not too long after she heard those words, she felt the little bodies of her favorite people jump on top of her. She opened her eyes to see the face of baby Edwardo looking at her with his big eyes, drool dripping down his chin. Behind him was Adriana lying across the girls' legs and six-year-old Mateo laying on her stomach. Dom stood beside the pile of bodies with her arms crossed and a smile on her face.
Roxanne grabbed the baby into her arms and sat up, causing the kids to roll off her body. "Arg, you guys are getting so big." She said before kissing the baby's cheek.
"Rocky!" Mateo said once he stood up and wrapped his arms around the girl's neck, hugging his baby brother as well. Roxanne patted the boy's back, pulling away to kiss his cheek as well. "Hello, Mateo." She said before ruffling his hair he was still wild since they all had just woken up.
Mateo pulled away to be carried by his older sister, holding his arms out to the standing girl. Seeing the free space, Adriana moved to hug the girl as well, Roxanne doing the same as she did to the boys. "Hello, beautiful." She said once she pulled back.
"Can you help me with breakfast? You can also come down and speak to Mama and Papa." Dom said as she slug Mateo onto her back, causing the boy to laugh. Roxanne looked over at the clock on the nightstand to check the time and saw that it was 6:30 am. She looked back over at Dom who was smiling sheepishly at her. "I live with old people, you know how they are." She said before walking out of the room with a boy clinging to her back.
Roxanne sighed and stood up, still holding onto baby Edwardo. She looked down at the little girl who was looking up at her with expecting eyes. Roxanne sighed before bending down and letting the little girl hop onto her back. Adriana giggled, showing her missing front tooth. Roxanne bounced to make sure the girl was secure, casing both kids on her person to giggle. Edwardo looked at both the girls, his smile showing his small teeth.
"Let's go!" Roxanne said as she lightly bounced with every step on her way downstairs, making the kid's giggles echo through the home. Roxanne bounced down the stairs, which creaked because of the extra weight.
She walked into the kitchen to see Dom setting and starting breakfast while her grandparents helped. She could hear Mateo in the living room watching cartoons so she turned around to head there, setting Eddie in his baby bouncer and plopping Adriana on the couch, the girl exploding into a fit of giggles.
She walked her way back into the kitchen, where Dom mixed pancake batter, Grandpa Tonio cooked eggs and Grandma Ana cut fruit.
The grandparents looked up at the sound of her entering the kitchen, smiling sweetly at the girl. "Ohh, ¡mi amor! ¡Se siente como si hubiera sido una eternidad!".(Oh, my love! It feels like it's been forever!) Tonio spoke as Roxanne walked her way over to the man, embracing him. He patted her back, then went back to cooking.
