"Tabby, I'm here," says Eldora as she enters the room. Tabitha looks up. "How did you know that you are my true love?" she asks.

"I don't know. It just felt right."

"What are we going to do about it?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, if anyone except us knew,  my and my parent's reputation would be ruined! No prince would want to marry me, then."

"Are you sure that you want a prince to marry you?"

"I don't know what I want, but we need to do something about this," said Tabitha, gesturing towards both of them. Eldora took Tabitha's hands in hers and sat on the bed. "We will figure this out, together," Eldora said. Eldora kissed Tabitha on the forehead. "Am I broken?" Tabitha asks. "No. You are perfect no matter what," Eldora replies. The two lay down in the bed and interlace their arms. "My mother will be here in the morning," Tabitha groaned. "I will be gone when the clock strikes midnight," Eldora replied.

Eldora had been run ragged looking for the answer to her questions about the curse that had been ravaging her and Tabitha for months on end. She had out all of her ancestor's grimoires and recipes, looking for the magic answer to her problems. The curse had begun to cause Tabitha pain in the presence of other people. She had a recurring dream that she was running through the woods. A shroud of shadow was chasing her. "Tabby! Where are you?" she screamed. She arrived at her cottage in the dream. Blood was smeared on her windows and door. She opened the door to her cottage. An open book was strewn on the floor, also covered in blood. Tabitha was sprawled out on the floor, covered in her own blood. "They're coming for you, too," she moaned.

Eldora jerked up out of her bed in a cold sweat. Visions of Tabitha soaked with blood chased her every day and all night. The splotches of red splattered on the floor warped into a shadow that would begin to chase her the next night.
