My hands were shaking like crazy when I got back to the main platform. “What happened?” Sam asked, pulling me away from the edge. “I- I don’t know how to explain it but it was insane. I think I’m seeing things…” I stuttered.

“There was this giant person but he kinda looked like dream but he had wings and-” Sam placed his hand on my shoulders and used the other to feel my forehead. “Maybe you should go home. Go get some rest.” I nodded and he escorted me out of the prison.

“Bye.” I waved as I walked away. He waved back before walking back into the prison. I sighed and made my way to the church once again and did the same thing. I drank some of the holy water and started walking home. But while I was walking I heard a voice. “Hey! Y/n! Can I talk to you for a second?” It was Hannah.

“Oh! Yeah sure, what did you need?” She stood in front of me with her hands behind her back like she was holding something. Then a ringing sound erupted in my head.
“Agh!” Hannah chuckled before showing that she had been holding a small piece of the egg’s vines.

“Just give in already! The egg can give you everything you want and more!” She laughed as I clutched the sides of my head. I sprinted in the opposite direction as she gave chase. “You can’t escape the egg! It’s useless trying to resist!” She yelled from behind. I ran down an alley but realized it was a deadend. I turned around and pulled out my sword.

“This isn’t you! Snap out of it!” I said as she got closer. She just laughed as I pressed myself against the wall, not wanting to fight her. There was a blinding light and then the person from the prison appeared again. Hannah seemed scared and ran off. The figure turned to me.

“I have started to notice that you seem to attract a lot of troublesome people, mortal.”
“Y/n.” He tilted his head in a confused manner. “My name is Y/n. I’m guessing you’re the ‘god’ that George told me about this morning.” He seemed off when I mentioned George.

“Yes. I’m the protector and god of these lands. You may call me Exdee.” I nodded. “Well I think I should be going home.” I said, putting my sword away. “I’ll take you there.” He responded and before I could protest he picked me up and a bright light engulfed us.

When the light died down we were in front of my house. “How did you know I lived here?” I asked as he put me down. “Also can you like… Shrink or something? It hurts my neck to look up at you.” He laughed as I stretched my neck. “I can shrink. Here.” He shrunk down to the point he was only a little bit taller than me.

“Is that better Mor- Y/n?” I nodded and smiled. “Are you hungry? I can make you some food.” “Why would you do that and no I’m not hungry, gods and goddess’ don’t need food to sustain ourselves.” He responded. “It was as a thank you for helping me again. That egg thing is a big problem here. It’s taken control of a lot of people…” I said, sadly.

He nodded. “Oh! I need to grab something. You can come inside if you want.” I said, remembering that I need to give Foolish the building supplies that he needed. Exdee followed me inside and I was met with Blizzard waiting for me on the couch. I walked over and picked her up.

“Hi baby. I missed you Blizzard! Here I’ll get you some more food.” “Your cat is very cute.” Exdee said from the door. I giggled.
“Well come over here and pet her! She’s even softer!” He hesitantly walked over and took her from my arms and started petting her. She nuzzled up against his chest and purred.

“She likes you? Surprising. She doesn’t even let Niki touch her.” He laughed at my confusion. “Animals tend to like me better because of the peaceful aura I have as a god of protection.” I shrugged.

“Makes sense. Now I’ll be right back. I need to grab some building supplies for Foolish.” He nodded, sitting down as I walked into my storage room and started looking for the building supplies. It took me around 5 minutes but when I did find it and was about to leave the room I tripped and fell on my face.

“God damn it!” I yelled as I fell. The god started laughing as Blizzard jumped off of him and walked over to me nuzzling against my head. I sighed as Exdee walked over to me and helped me up. I gathered up the supplies and put them back in my inventory.

“Well I’m going to give Foolish some building supplies. So bye I guess?” “I can teleport you there. I actually need to speak with him about something.” “Oh okay then.” He gently grabbed my arm and teleported us to Foolish who yelped in surprise.

“Exdee! And Y/n? Weird seeing you two together. Since when did you guys know each other?” He asked. “She’s been praying at my church for protection quite a bit. I’m guessing it’s because of the egg’s corruption."

I nodded. “It’s part of my routine before heading to the prison to work. I would rather not have to deal with the egg’s vines or its pathetic attempts to corrupt me.” They both hummed in agreement. I pulled the building supplies out of my inventory and gave them to him. “Here ya go!” He smiled and took it.

“Why don’t you guys come to my house so you aren’t stuck in the heat?” I nodded. I was getting a bit hot with all this armor on. Plus I’m wearing heat protection clothes underneath which only makes it worse as it’s black and meant for lava heat. Exdee nodded as well and we went inside.

Author note: Sorry it took so long I have up to chapter 10 written though so maybe that makes up for it?
