Dukes POV
Watching as Skye and Carter joked around reminded me of us. That use to be us that use to be me. I can't just let her go like that. I now had to convince my mom to stay here until I graduate. I don't know why I made that up I just feel like it will help Skye's and my relationship. But she didn't even seem excited when I told her.

Skye POV
"Push it! Just because we kicked panther butt doesn't mean we are any good! Let's go," Coach screams and we finish running three miles. These are getting easier as the season goes on but Coach is really tough today. He wouldn't even let Duke tryout cause it was too late in the season even though we only have played two games. And ever since Duke has been back its been weird between us.we just don't have that friendship spark anymore.
"Evans take another lap, pay attention," coach yells snapping me out of my thoughts. I give him a nod and take of.
Practice goes on and let me tell you it is rough. I don't think I have ever seen him in such a bad mood. Happiness floods through me when he blows the whistle ending practice.
Just as I am about to go get changed coach screams my name,"Evans in my office in five."
"Yes coach," I run into the locker rooms and change into my typical shorts and T-shirt, with a minute to spare I make it into his office.
"Take a seat," he motions towards the chair and I am nervous about what he is going to say. "Skye you have been amazing for this team and I would like to apologize for my actions today, I just found out my wife cheated on me after thirty years of marriage." Well that is not what I expected to hear.
"I am sorry to here that, if there is anything I can do please, let me know." I look up at him with sympathy.

Authors note: It is summer guys!!! And that means more time to do nothing and update. This defiantly wasn't my favorite chapter I felt like I rushed it and didn't get the characters personalities in as much as I wanted to. So what do you guys think so far?
Also I have Skye's first date typed but have not decided who it will be with yet. Leave in the comments who you want and why.
