As the night settles in, I find myself caught in the grip of the cold wind.

I float in the sky, a flimsy leaf, vulnerable to the mercy of the wind.

To my surprise, the wind carries me to a city that never sleeps.

The cityscape is a breathtaking sight, with towering buildings, cars moving like ants, and light poles illuminating the surroundings.

The artificial lights produce a magnificent landscape, leaving me in awe.

When I look up at the sky, the twinkling points of light are the natural source of radiance.

They are so beautiful to look at; I feel I could stare at them forever.

Everywhere I look, there are stars both beneath me and above.

They come in different shapes and colors, yet they shine so brightly.

One wishes to outshine the other, while others are content with simply shining.

A thought crossed my mind.

What if I could be something more perfect than just a leaf?

I could never have imagined what something so ideal would be like.

The endless possibilities of being a star suddenly overwhelmed me.

Will I shine brighter than anyone else?

Will scientists be able to give me a name?

Will I be as large as the sun or as little as a marble?

Who will be my closest companion? Will I finally be happy?

For once, I'm looking forward to being someone else.

But stars, like everything else in this universe... die

If I die, a supernova explosion will trigger, followed by a black hole.

I will hurt others who are close to me... I don't want to; I am scared.

Many will be afraid of me, and I will lose everyone around me as a result.

I'm terrified that everyone will hate me for the destruction.

As a dying star, I will cause.

Nothing in this universe will remain beautiful for eternity.

But it is not too late to try. Even if I am alone, I will shine.

Even if I die, I will keep trying.

At the very least, I did my part.

Maybe it is better this way, like a lousy leaf that aimlessly wanders in the wind.
