Love or Retribution?

Chapter - 26

"Lingam anna, how are you? heard you owned a chain of super markets, from a small shop owner to a business magnet, wow, the price for calling me a whore in front of every one despite knowing how much I loved my husband right?", she said looking at Lingam, who looked away, struggling to face her.

"You are that autopsy doctor right? I have no idea who you are ", she said and crossed him without another look.

"Mr.Raghavan, the genuine defense lawyer who fought tooth and nail for me, what a performance it was, you chose the wrong profession, you should have become an actor, you would have won an oscar, Mr. high court judge", she said looking at Raghavan with overflowing sarcasm.

"And finally my Madhav anna, remember, that is how I used to call you and treat you. When they called for my brother during Subhi's tonsure ceremony and I said I don't have a brother, you walked in and took that role happily and then you yourself  betrayed that bond", she said looking into his eyes which went down immediately

"And the last time I saw you, you tried to shove me into that maximum security prison, commissioner now is it? so I think it was all worth it, right?", she asked, bending down and looking into his eyes.

"And you Mr. Thomson, even though I didn't know you or interacted with you much, I thought you were our friend, but now I realize that the friendship was only to make my husband to sign that false report regarding that school right?", she asked and looked at Thomson who looked back at her unlike others.

"Even though I am extremely angry at you and given a chance may kill you right here with my bare hands, I thank you for taking care of my Subhi, even though the intention behind it was bad, you never made her feel that, but you didn't have a choice right? you knew if you treated her bad she would leave and start to search for me right?", her mother asked sarcastically.

"And your wife, she was a good woman and she really loved my Subhi. What happened to her  Thomson? is she alive? it was a fake accident right? then how come she alone died? did she find out that you are a murderous inhuman? did you kill her?" , she bombarded him with more sarcasm that instigated Thomson the way she expected.

He totally forgot about going to the farm house and turned his attention towards her.

"So you have figured everything out right? took you this long, where were you living all this time? in gutter? slum? brothel? while we all lived a happy life here", he said with same amount of sarcasm.

"What to do, I was a simple woman, not a criminal master mind like you, so it took me long enough, but that happy life you just boasted about, where is it now by the way and what are you all doing here? ", she asked without getting affected a bit by Thomson's insult.

"We just came here for Bhargav's engagement and not for anything else", Madhavan came forward and tried to justify.

"Ha ha!! you still have your humor sense Madhav anna, did you all really think you all came here on your own volition? How silly"

"She made you all to run here like a pack of chased dogs, funny Madhav anna for you to think that Bhargav would get engaged to any one other than Subhashini ", her mother chuckled as blood from everyone's face drained.

"What ever it may be we don't care, I am calling the police right now", Raghavan said, coming forward.

"Planning to confess is it?", she asked without missing a beat with same lethargic attitude making them all boil with anger.

"Hey, who do you think you are? I should have killed you and your daughter too when I had the chance, you were right, I killed my wife or rather let her to die in that accident, she found out who Indira actually was and threatened to expose me, so know this, if I can kill my wife who I loved, you and your daughter are nothing, even now it is not too late, I will finish you right away and go after her", Thomson said and held her neck forcibly.
