CHAPTER-XIII

Taehyung was working in his office when his phone rang disturbing him. He lookes at the caller Id and released a sigh.

Hello he said and the person on the other said greeted back and spoke,

How are you doing son?

I'm doing absolutely fine Dad he replied.

Well I heard that Mr.Choi has organized a business party and I want you to attend it along with Y/n, Okay! his father said in a firm tone making him mad since he had no plans on attending it.

But dad-

No buts Taehyung, he has been our partner for a long time now and since I or your mother won't be able to go you have to attend it on behalf of us as well. Also, media will be present there so be cautious his father said and cut the call without hearing his response.

Taehyung sighed frustratedly. Every time he tries to stay away from you, a situation arises which bring you both together. He wants to avoid all his emotions which he has supressed in his heart from the past 3 years.

Maybe he said he hates you, but the undying love he has for you is beyond the hate.

Taehyung's Pov

I picked up my phone and dialled Y/n's number to inform her about the party. After 2 rings she finally picked up the call.

Oh Tae are you missing me hmm? she said cheerfully as soon as she picked up.

Nope I replied straightforwardly and sensed her mood drop at my words.

Why did you called me then she asked in a slow voice which unknowingly made me a bit guilty.

There's a business party in the evening and Dad want both of us to attend it.

Okay she said.

Be ready by 7 then I said and hang up the call.

Y/n's Pov

I chose to wear an peach colored dress and let my hair fall free on my back. I applied some makeup and a nude lipstick to complete my look.

Looking good I complimented myself looking at my reflection in the mirror.

Just then Taehyung barged in the room making me startled at his sudden appearance. He stared at me for some seconds but looked away in faze and spoke,

I'll go and get ready he said and went in the bathroom.

Taehyung was busy calming himself whose heartbeats raised after looking at his wife who was looking ethreal. He shrugged off his thoughts and started selecting a suit for himself but soon his eyes caught a suit already placed outside. He understood Y/n must've kept it. He thought about wearing it or not but in at last ended up in the same suit chosen by her.

Taehyung stepped out after getting ready looking handsome as always. Y/n's eyes fell on his figure and she squealed looking at his husband. Her heart dwelled in happiness after realizing he wore the suit that she kept.

You're looking handsome Taehyung, oh and you even wore the suit I selected for you.

Taehyung gulped a little, he didn't want to give her any hope so he spoke,

I wore it because we're getting late, and I don't want to waste my time in choosing.

Whatever she said nonchalantly and went to pick up her purse.

Time skips,

They both reached the venue where the party was held. Getting out of the car numerous flashlights fell upon their faces. You got nervous looking at so many reporters who were clicking your pictures. Taehyung sensed your nervousness and held your hand in his tightly intertwining his fingers with yours.
