Author's POV: After a few days, Jade was returning from her college in afternoon and Sebastian was at home studying for his exam.

Jade's POV: My classes got over so I decided to return home instead of stopping by a cafe.

Jade: "I am back home grandmom and grandpa."

It was my usual habit to always announce that I am back home. I got no reply.

Jade: "Grandpa? Grandma? Where are you both?"

I went upstairs to search for them when suddenly I noticed that they were lying on bed. I was perplexed. I wondered why they are asleep at this hour. I went closer to grandmom to wake her up. I patted her.

Jade: "Wake up grandmom, I am back."

Still there was no response, I patted her once again but she was asleep.

Jade: "Grandmom?"

I took her hand in mine and that was the moment when I realised that my grandmom was no more. Her pulses were absent. I checked her breathing and it was absent. I started panicking and crying.

Jade: "Grandmom, wake up wake up, no you can't leave me, what happened to you, wake up!"

I went to other side of bed to wake up my grandfather as I thought he was sleeping. He wasn't.

Jade: "Grandpa! Grandpa! Wake up! Grandma is not responding."

I said while crying. My grandad slightly opened his eyes but he didn't seem fine. Infact, he had only few minutes left to live.

Grandfather: "Jade"

My granddad called my name weakly.

Jade: "yes dad, I am calling doctor quickly. You and grandmom would be fine then."

Grandfather: *holding my hand* "listen Jade, don't go anywhere, Its useless. I am in the last phase of life Jade. I and your grandmom took vows while marriage to die together. It's time for me to go now Jade. Listen to me, I have to tell you something very important. *taking deep painful breaths* Jade, I hid this truth from you for years. Your parents didn't die in an accident. It was a planned murder. Seb-as-ti-an's *moaning painfully* parents killed you-r pa-re-n-t-s. *I held his hand tighter* They w-a-n-t-e-d to kill you especially because they w-a-n-t-e-d our ancestral land for their own benefit. Since I refused, h-e th-rea-tened m-e that he w-o-u-ld kill my son and my granddaughter. He was successful in killing my son and daughter-in-law but he failed to reach his ultimate goal. H-e wanted to kill you Jade because you were the next heir of the land. They were desperate to get that land since yea-rs. But now you are safe Jade. Also, one more thing, Sebastian's parents did not die accidentally, they were kil-l-e-d. *tears streaming down his face* Jade, promise me, you will not tell S-ebas-tian about anything. He is the only one left Jade, who will take care of you. My daughter, even your parents never wanted this. He i-s ver-y go-od J-a-de, don't lose him ever. *taking his last breath* t-a-k-e c-a-r-e Ja----

Author's POV: His last words were, "take care" but perhaps words got lost in his thoughts as his soul slowly left his body. His hand which he held tightly on Jade's hand fell down. There was a complete silence in the room. Or rather, a feeling of peace and calm in the room. Jade was numb. She took out her phone and dialed Sebastian.

Sebastian: "Hey Jade, what's up"

Jade: "My grandparents passed away"

Sebastian: "What! Alas! Hold on I am coming."

Jade's POV: I sat there feeling emotionless. Infront of me laid two bodies of my loved ones, who were no more. They were physically here but not with me. Their face had a calm expression. My grandmom lay with a slight smile on her face while my grandfather had a feeling of relief on his face. They were great humans. I thanked them for everything they did for me. They were there for me when my parents weren't. From 13 to 18 or rather a whole teenage period of my life, they played a integral role. They were there at the times when I needed my parents the most. They played a role as a responsible 'guardian' to shape me into who I was today. I wasn't crying, but this was second time when I lost my parents again. I thanked them for everything. After five minutes, Sebastian came rushing and hugged me.

Sebastian: "It's ok, they were wonderful people. My heart is with you at this time. Sending them love and peace."

Jade's POV: I started crying uncontrollably. As I struggled to breathe, I let out a series of hiccups, tears of sorrow still streaming down my face. Sebastian hugged me tighter while my face buried into his chest wetting his green tshirt which he wore.

Sebastian's POV: I let her cry instead of stopping her, she had already suffered enough. Sudden death of her grandparents broke her. The grief which she held inside her finally was released out. She sobbed heartbreakingly, her tears of sadness falling like a shower as she sobbed. I was feeling sad as well. Seeing her crying, I wanted to cry too but I held myself strong.

Jade cried for an hour and finally went quiet. Her head was still buried into my chest. I checked her if she was ok.

Sebastian: "Jade? Are you ok now? Do you need anything?"

Jade's head finally left my chest and she sat up straight. Wiping her tears, her red swollen eyes said everything. She took a deep breath. I handed her a glass of water. After drinking it, she replied:

Jade: "I am okay."

I let out a sigh. I looked at Jade with an expression of confusion asking whether what should we do now.

Jade: "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Sebastian: "Jade, what should we do now? We can't keep their body whole night here, its still afternoon, not so late."

Jade: "We should inform everyone and get their bodies to the burial site."

*3 hours later*

Sebastian's POV: We both attended the funeral of Jade's grandparents. After the funeral, most of the relatives went home while only few were left.

Sebastian: "Jade, we should go home now, its getting darker. Stay at my house today. You will feel alone at your house."

Jade: "Are you sure?"

Sebastian: "Yes Jade, I have one more room empty, you can sleep there for today. Infact if you want, you can stay at my house forever."

Jade: "Don't be childish, I am just coming for today. I will return to my house tomorrow morning."

Sebastian's POV: We went to my house directly. Jade had to shower but she forgot her clothes at her home.

Sebastian: "um... You can wear mine, I guess that won't be a problem. I will hand you my top and trousers."

Jade: "Thanks, I will go to shower now."

Author's POV: After showering, Jade wore Sebastian's clothes. It was oversized for her but she didn't care. After having her dinner, Jade went directly to her room and locked it. She threw herself on bed. The flashback of whole afternoon was playing in her mind. More than that, her grandfather's words stinged every inch of her body. The truth stood before her, something that she was desperate for. She knew that if she left on destiny, the truth would definitely come out one day. Afterall, 'a lie cannot be hidden forever, it has to come out someday'. This was the reason why she left searching for clues a year before. It's not possible to build a solid life on a foundation of lies. This lie disturbed Jade for an year, she couldn't focus on anything because she was living in a web of lies.

Now finally despite of being depressed because of her death of beloved grandparents, she was thankful to almighty. She felt peaceful and satisfied with her life but also a feeling of remorse crept into her heart. She knew it would now stay forever. Today her parents weren't there just because of Sebastian's parents. But it was of no use. She could only mourn for their death because even the killers weren't alive.

There was still something that was needed to fit in the box but Jade was unaware about it. Neither was Sebastian. For him, it was still a mystery as to why was Jade's photograph and a strange revolver lying around the accident spot. What was that something which was still to be discovered? Can Sebastian figure out the truth? Can these two soulmates face each other after the discovery of that truth? Read the next chapters to find out their journey....
