Before Kaz's Arrival... (continuing off of ch. 11)
Russia quietly groaned and cursed to himself. America looked up at him, slightly concerned. "Russ? Are you alright?" America asked quietly. Russia sighed and nodded. "Yes чудо, I am fine. Lets go find you some clothes, yes?" America nodded excitedly and eagerly followed Russia. As much as Russia wanted to just ignore the creeping syrupy feeling he had whenever America even glanced at him, this was going to make it ten times worse.
America unknowingly moved closer to Russia while the pair retraced their steps through the hallway and was moving against his arm when he walked. Russia could feel his skin heating up, this was going to drive him crazy. Russia tried to think of anything but the male next to him, this was probably just a reaction to him not being near anyone in a while... right? This was another boy, for gods sake! Never in his life had he ever felt this way for a boy, let alone his once-was-enemy!
His mind dwelled on the thought and he slowed down at the realization that he had never felt this way for a girl either. He blankly started at the hall in front of him, trying to swallow the clarification. "Russ? Are you sure you're alright?" America asked, sounding slightly concerned. Russia shook his head gently and nodded. "Yes чудо, its is good." Russia said slowly, being really consonant. 'It is good.' He repeated in his mind. He allowed his gaze to scan the other. It was good.

How Russia ended up in his closet with the American was beyond himself. Before, if his mortal enemy was in a 6ft radius of him, he would've gone berserk. Now his so-called mortal enemy is bouncing off the walls of his closet, admiring all of his clothes, and dragging him around. Russia did have a walk in closet, because no matter what he did he liked to be dressed for the occasion. He had some interest in fashion because he believed that people judged you based on your appearance, it was natural, so being well groomed and put together was important.
Russia always dressed very elegantly, no matter where he went. He was a king, after all. America was wowed by his wide assortment of wardrobe, he almost never wanted to leave. America ran around, asking Russia about certain clothing articles and complementing his fashion choice. Russia would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it and it didn't inflate his ego just a little bit.
"Lets find you something to wear for now, okay чудо? We can have runway show another day." Russia said as a joke, but after looking to the American with small little sparkles in his eyes at the idea, he knew he would have to own up to those words. Russia chuckled and shook his head, going to the side of his closet with lounging attire. He found a pair of shorts, sweat-pants and a t-shirt. He was going to return to America after that, but his eyes trailed to a certain sweater in his closet. It was one of his favorites, a blue color. 'I wonder how he'd look in that.'
Russia walked over to America and showed him the clothes he had collected. "You can choose a pair of bottoms and a top. Let me go grab one more thing." Russia told him, walking to the area of his closet with his undergarments. His face was tinted slightly pink, but he tried not to let it show. So what if he offered him his favorite sweater? It didn't mean anything! It was a kind gesture! He probably wouldn't even choose it. 'And if he did, I hope to god he chose the pants.'
Russia returned, and to his dismay, America had chose to wear his sweater and the pair of shorts. America had such a wide smile on his face, It was obvious he was excited. Russia stood there, looking dumb-founded. Of course he chose the one thing that could possibly make new feeling rise in Russia! 'I am going to die.' "So Russ, where's your shower? If it isn't the best shower I've ever been in, Its going to get a one-star review." America playfully warned.
Russia smirked. He had great pride in his castle, and the restrooms were possibly the best part about the castle, because they weren't even restrooms. "I can assure you that it will be." Russia said with a look of pride. He decided he would be better not thinking about the subject of how America would look in his clothes. He could avoid it, for now. He lead America out of his room and into the hall.
America looked at him, confused. "Russ? Where is the shower?" America asked. Russia smiled and opened a door that seemed bigger than the others. When America entered, he gasped. "Here it is." Russia said.
The shower room was an imitation of a large sauna room, but it had pools of water, stone architecture, plants, and a water fall. It looked like a mini paradise, the water crystal clear, an earthly heaven. America stared in wonder. "Russ, you shower in here?!" America yelled. Russia chuckled and nodded. "Now you can too." Russia responded. America went behind a changing wall and Russia turned around to leave.
"I'll leave you be, if you need anything, call for me." Russia said before leaving, getting as small 'okay' in return. Russia left and closed the doors, leaning against a wall and letting out a a breath. Now he was going to bathe in the same waters he did. He was in there, probably relaxing, and showering. Just as Russia would be. Russia's face reddened as his mind wondered the possibilities. 'This can't be happening, I can't be imagining this.'
America on the other hand, was enjoying the warm water on his sore and tensed muscles. Little did Russia know, America was just as aware that he was cleaning himself in the same water Russia had been once. Though America tried not to picture anything, It just happened. America felt the heat rise to his face as he turned his face over to Russia's clothes that sat next to his towel. This was surreal on another level.
~.-.~
America finished up his shower, and walked out of the bathing room. He brought his other clothes, the ones he was wearing before, and his towel with him. He looked around, but couldn't find Russia. He assumed he was just walking around, in the large common area. America felt much happier and cleaner now that he was showered. He walked over to the common room and there he was, sitting on the sofa tinkering with a... Rubik's Cube?
(should I put a tw for the word flesh? If so, here it is.) America walked over to Russia and plopped on the sofa next to him, startling Russia and almost making him drop the cube. "Hello, I assume you enjoyed your shower?" Russia asked, looking down at the seemingly pleased person next to him. "Yup! 5 stars. Will use again." America said happily. Russia gave him a nod, and his eyes trailed down to his legs. The scars and cuts were still visible and some still fleshy looking. Russia frowned. (tw over!)
"чудо. Come to the nursing quarters." Russia said, getting up and holding out his hand to America. America took it and quietly followed behind him, becoming slightly self-conscious. Once they got into the nursing room, Russia ushered him onto the bed and grabbed some bandages from the cabinets. He started to tend to Americas leg, which made some odd feelings rise in America. For him, the only way to stop feeling the way he did, was to start talking about something else. So he did. Whatever he was talking about occupied him enough to get so distracted as to not notice his winged friend in the doorway.
