|  | After about ten minutes of curving halls and walking deep into dark ones, Senji finally came to a stop. He opened a door to a room, and stepped in. A warm swarm of air hit you, making you flinch a little. It'd been cold out in the halls, and this sudden temperature change was not doing you well.

You could only see the entrance to the door since you were still being carried by the man. Misheru skipped in behind you guys, and started talking to someone.

“Karako,” she sang, in a sweet melody. “We have a special delivery!”

Then, Senji grunted and said, “It's not a delivery, dumbass.”

“You can set her down now, dumbass.” sherreplied, mocking his comment.

He sneered, but eventually set you down to where you were leaning against his shoulder, for support. Somehow it was as if he read your mind and knew that your legs were still weak and you couldn't walk let alone stand. You felt a heap of relief in your heart.

“H'm,” the woman known as Karako said, cocking her head to the side. “you don't have a collar at all, are you a guard?”

You furrowed your eyebrows, and frowned, “What? I don't even know where I am, so how in the world would I be a guard?!”

“Well then, you're a prisoner.” she stated, and you whimpered. “Or, you were mistakenly brought down here.”

Misheru then piped up, pointing at your chest, “She's definitely a prisoner, Karako. Ganta had the same thing there when he'd first arrived at this prison.”

You looked down to see the familiar red crystal shard embedded into your chest, and gulped. It looked like a painful sight, but it only frightened you, not pained you.

“Don't you think we should take it out?” Misheru said, looking back at the woman. You now noticed that she'd had white hair, and honey brown eyes. Her skin was the color of caramel.

She nodded, and walked over to you. Senji was still holding onto you, and didn't seem like he was going to let go any time soon.

“Senji, if you're going to hold onto the girl, hold her firmly,” Karako said, and a tint of pink covered your face.

He moved his grip to your shoulders, and his grip was tighter than ever. Yes,you felt as if you could fall at any moment, but you didn't.

Karako pulled a hanky from her bag, and then placed it over the shard. Her eyes flickered to yours, “Are you ready? It'll only hurt for a quick second, but then it'll be out.”

You nodded, and bit your bottom lip as you placed her hands more firmly onto the shard, and forcefully ripped it out, causing you to yelp out in pain, making Misheru, who was watching intently, jump.

“H'm quite unusual.” said Karako, examining the hole in your chest. You were expecting blood to be gushing out, but none of that happened. Not even one drop!

There wasn't any blood inside of the opening of your chest either, which made mixed emotions flow through your head.

“W-where's the blood?!” you asked, looking at up Karako.

“You don't have any.” the woman replied, and that made your stomach drop.

“How is she gonna survive down 'ere then?” Senji asked from behind you, and Karako shrugged.

“Someone will have to stay with her.” Karako said, looking behind you. “I'll have you two look after her until we find a solution to this.”

You felt as if they were treating like a little child, but didn't say a word about it. You just stood there, upset.

“Come along!” Misheru sang, skipping out of the door. Karako gave you a sweet smile, then bade you goodbye. Senji lifted you up and onto his shoulder once again, and began along behind Misheru.
