Broken Wings

Ivan's trap

Ludwig and Feliciano walked out into the city and looked around. They didn't have any idea how or when Ivan was gonna strike again so Feliciano had brought up the idea that they walk around town to try to clear their minds. However their minds were not clear for they constantly worried. Feliciano held onto Ludwig's arms like an elder who needs help walking. He was still a little tired and full of thought. But his mind cleared and focused on the sound of a familiar voice.

"Mr. Beilshmidt! Mr. Vargas!" A short Japanese man called out.

"Kiku!!" Feliciano called out.

The man stopped and looked at the two.

"Listen you two, you're in grave danger. Please return to your home immediately." He warned.

Ludwig and Feliciano looked at each other in awe but then looked back at tr other male and sighed.

"Ehe, the thing is Kiku... I uh... Can't?" Feliciano said.

"What do you mean you can't? You have to Sir, the reaper will be after you soon you have to stop this and return to heaven!"

Ludwig stepped up.

"He can't, his wing is broken." He explained.

"Your wing? Feliciano sir you have to go back! They're getting rowdy in hell, and if they find out you're trapped on earth every demon will come after you!" The little guy panicked. "You are my friend but I am just a messenger so all I can do is warn you..."

"It's okay, Kiku! I know what's going on, as long as big strong Ludi is here nothing bad will happen!" Feli said.

The messenger didn't seem convinced. He huffed and looked at Ludwig. His eyes widened as if he realized something.

"Ludwig, you don't have anyone close to you in hell....... do you?"

"...... Why?"

"Because Ivan will use them to lure you in." Kiku warned.

Ludwig's eyes widened. "He wouldn't..."

"You know him better then I do and he will..."

Ludwig's eyes darkened and he turned around charging away.

"Ludi where are you going!!" Feli called.

"Feli, stay with Kiku! I'm gonna kill that bastard."

Kiku and Feli looked at one another in confusion then watched the strong fallen race into the city streets vanishing from their sites.

Ludwig raced threw the city back towards the clearing to go back through the portal. However he was stopped bye one sharp whistle. He looked up to the whistler sitting on the roof top and snarled.

"What do you want Mikkel?"

"If your going back to hell there's no point."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Ivan's not there."

"WHERE IS HE?!"

"Now usually with a temper like that I would send you the wrong way." Mikkels usual smirk faded. "But I have brothers to...... He has Gil at the church. He wanted it to be climactic."

"That rat." Ludwig snarled.

"Ludi you gotta be careful, he expects you to just charge in."

"I know, I'll figure it out."

Ludwig walked away and jumped up onto the building roof. He looked around to find the church. He saw a cross jutting out of the field of rooftops and started running across them till he appeared at the church. He climbed down the side of the roof and walked across the grass to the back of the church.

Gilbert stood tied to the cross by black ropes that burned a blue flame. On the ground was a circle symbol that was used to trap fallen angels.

"You think my little brother is this stupid?!" Gilbert laughed.

"Oh I know he is, he'll save his big brother." Ivan snickered.

"Ha! You better hope he doesn't let me go or I'm going to kill you! You psycho loser!!" Gilbert yelled.

"You'll be dead before he can enter the room,"

"You can't kill me Ivan I didn't break the rules." Gilbert grinned cockily.

Ivan walked around Gilbert with a big unreal smile. He leaned his head down placing a hand on his shoulder and crouching his lips by Gilbert's ear and whispered.

"Watch me....."

Ludwig stood in the basement of the church and tried to listen to Ivan. He heard nothing so he tried to press on. However a hand on his shoulder stopped him and he turned around grabbing the other being. But there stood kikus blank brown eyes.

"Calm down Ludwig sir, we came to help." He said.

"We?"

"Ludi you aren't doing this alone!" feliciano yelled.

"Shhhhh." Ludwig and Kiku hushed.

"What are you two doing here, I told you two to STAY there." Ludwig growled.

"And you also said you wouldn't let Ivan lay a finger on Feliciano. What if this was a trap to separate you two."

"You listened to our conversation?" Ludwig said.

"Kikus right, we gotta stick together!"

"When were you listening to us?"

"What's the plan Ludi!" Feli asked.

"Are we going to ignore that Kiku listened to our conversation?"

"Ludwig sir. What the plan?" Kiku pushed.

"Okay, so we are. Alright you two listen carefully, here's what's going to happen."
