———————————"Y/N! Wait up!" A young girl said, chasing a young you through a field of flowers.
"Hahaha! You're too slow!" You told her, running faster so she can't get you.
She caught up to you, tackling you to the ground, you both giggled, rolling around and enjoying each other's company.
———
Three years later, you both were thirteen.
The young girl was being forced to move away. You were devastated at the news.
"Y/N, my parents have been killed, I must move far away to live with my grandparents, please write to me. I'll be so lonely without you," The girl blushed, holding your hands.
"Of course Reina, I'll miss you so much," A tear fell from your eyes, Reina reached her hand out and wiped it from your cheeks.
"Don't forget me, please." Reina said, she cupped your cheeks, and planted a soft kiss on your lips before walking off to the limo that was waiting for her.
The Tsubomi family had been the clan leaders before your family took over, Reina Tsubomi, her parents had gotten brutally assassinated. The elders were nicer back then to poor Reina, allowing her to live safely and comfortably with her retired grandma. Shortly after she moved, your parents were appointed clan leaders of the now Y/N clan.
Reina was your first and true love, but now you could hardly remember her.
———
"Y/N!" A chipper voice said, the girl's hair was an auburn color in a youthful bob, "It's been so long! Look at you!"
You could recognize those emerald green eyes anywhere though, "Reina?" You breathed out.
"I missed you so much, what happened to writing to me everyday, Y/N?" She pouted, crossing her arms, making you smile.
"I sent you a letter and you never responded, like three years ago," You said, scratching the back of your head, "How'd you find me anyways?"
"I have my ways," She winked before walking into your house, she grabbed onto your arm. She had grown a lot since the last time you saw her. Her chest was more full and her body was more defined.
"Where's your room? We have so much to talk about," She smiled, looking into your eyes.
"Oh right, my room," you gulped, leading her up to the stairs.
You prayed Kirari hadn't gotten out of the closet.
———
You walked into the room, thankful to not see Kirari for once.
"Your room, it's just like how I remember it, except you don't have those stupid video game figurines anymore," She giggled to herself, plopping onto your bed and letting out a sigh, "I really missed you Y/N."
"Why are you here?" You asked her. She just appeared out of nowhere, out of the blue.
"Why are you so cold? Do you not miss me?" She asked, walking close to you.
You didn't say anything, you were happy with Kirari and she was surely hearing your whole conversation.
"I'm actually busy right now with clan stuff, can you leave and come back later?" You wondered, backing up from her.
"Oh," is all she said, before making her way to the door, "Alright, I'll be back sometime, I guess," She shrugged, clearly upset.
You watched as she walked down your grand staircase through the front door. You let out a breath before letting Kirari out of the closet. She looked pissed, very pissed.
"I know you have a lot of questions right now but-" You began, until Kirari interrupted you.
"Who was that?" Kirari demanded, her arms crossed over her abdomen, and her icy cold glare she wore to intimidate other people, she was wearing around you.
You stretched your arms out over your head, scratching your neck awkwardly.
"Shit, uh, listen, she's," You began to explain yourself, but the annoyed expression Kirari was giving to you made you feel like shit, "I don't even know how to explain it, but she's just a friend,"
"Seriously? Just a friend? Do you think I'm stupid?" Scoffing Kirari, she shoved past you in hurry, grabbing her clothes off the floor and walking down the grand staircase.
"Kirari! Wait, don't go," You hurriedly chased after her, she was practically racing down those stairs.
In a rush of panic, you grabbed her arm when she was about to step out of your door and pulled her into you, squeezing her tightly.
"Please, don't go, at least not yet. You didn't give me a chance to explain myself, that girl means absolutely nothing to me, you mean the world to me," You calmly said, hoping to convince Kirari to stay, and let you explain.
Kirari wrapped your arms around you, sighing deeply into your chest. You both stood there for a moment, just holding each other, until Kirari pulled away from you to give you a kiss on the cheek.
"I won't go, it's only the morning after well," She softly smiled at you, placing her stuff back down, "We should do something today," She smirked seductively.
"Oh? Like what," You put your hands on her hips, making her wrap her arms around your neck.
She stood up on her tippy-toes, her breath ghosting your neck, giving you shivers down your spine, "How about a nice, romantic dinner tonight?" She smirked.
"I like that idea, but you need clothes for the occasion," You acknowledged.
She pulled apart from you, taking her phone out of her pocket and texting someone, "That's not a problem," She gave you a quick peck on the lips.
"I'll make the reservations," You said.
