Emergency Meeting [ Chapter 11 ]

11:30 a.m. { Day-1 }

Team Bravo had to leave the kids and Dr. Takashi in the Conference Hall. However, before leaving, while other soldiers were going on the helicopter, Bravo Leo told Takashi...

Bravo Leo : Doctor, they are telling us that they don't know the mode of transmission for this virus thing and that we are unable to tell apart a normal uninfected human from this creatures as of now. If you know anything, start talking.

Takashi : No. There is only one medium of transmission, I think. Direct bite. This virus is similar to the types like from rabies or Nipah virus. However, transmission might be possible if a non-infected person's wound is exposed to blood or saliva of infected person, or if the either of two gets in his eyes, nose or mouth. That's all I could calculate from my research of vaccine just in case things went south.

 Bravo Leo : They already went, dude. Okay, I will inform that to my superior. Still, I can't take you back since I was given orders not to do that. However, I will try my best to return as soon as possible, so hang in there. I will give you guys some walkie-talkie so that you can contact us.

He asked for some from his sub-ordinates, and gave them to Tanjiro, Takashi and Sabito. He looked at Tanjiro and Zenitsu, and asked, while pointing towards the dead slaughtered corpses outside...

Bravo Leo : Hey, you two. Judging from what I can see outside and swords on your waists, I suppose you two did that?

Zenitsu : Yes, sir. We did that out of self-defence.

Bravo Leo smirked. Tanjiro looked at him with suspicion. All of a sudden, Bravo Leo threw his war knife at Tanjiro. He dodged it by getting on the side, but the next thing he knew, Bravo Leo was coming from his back and stopped right before he stabbed him, even though Tanjiro did jump to evade that...

Bravo Leo : Nice reflexes and surrounding awareness. Good job, I am confident you can survive now. You have earned my respect. I really would love to have a duel with you. Then, Corp Ronin will surely return to rescue you.

Bravo Leo finished, attached the rope to his body gear, and gave the signal to pull him up. After few seconds, the helicopter started to fly away and the sound gradually fainted. Everyone except Genya was sad and disappointed. Genya; for him, he was just too pumped to see Corp Ronin soldiers in-person. It was once in a lifetime thing, since they were almost never in the homeland. He tried to cheer everyone up...

Genya : Come on, everyone. Man, the Corp Ronin Team Leader said we could survive this since we have Tanjiro and Zenitsu. And we have ourselves as well. So put away that gloomy look. And the two kids are too cool, damn. After we get out of this mess, I want your autographs, Tanjiro and Zenitsu.

Inosuke : What's this Corp Ronin anyway?

Genya : The only thing known about them is that they exist and they are so good, they once beat U.S. Delta Force by a very high casualty rate in a friendly game, while there were no losses suffered by Corp Ronin. They are so good and no one knows even if they are in Japan all the year. I also heard from a military reporter that the commander of this Corp is some epic guy who has killed many notable terrorists. So take pride that we were praised by them, and be confident that we can survive this.
