Chapter 3

REIGO AÑASCO was inside her office, sitting on the swivel chair. She's busy staring at the busy streets of her office while sipping a cup of coffee that she bought from her favorite coffee shop.

Ala-sais na ng gabi kung kaya't kitang-kita nya kung paano magbuhol-buhol ang traffic sa kalsada. Rush hour na kung maituturing ang oras na ito. Idagdag pang biyernes kung kaya't halos lahat ng mga tao ay excited ng umuwi sa kanilang mga tahanan.

But not Reigo.

Yeah, she has a countless number of houses, but she does not have a comfort place to be called her 'home'.

Sometimes Reigo wonders what it feels na maging excited umuwi, knowing na may naghihintay sayo.

Reigo leaned on the swivel chair and sternly closed her eyes.

In just a snap, the familiar face of the goddess-like woman appeared. The way their eyes met, the way the woman's lips moved when she smiled, and the way her hips swayed whenever she was walking.

Agad na sumilay ang ngiti sa labi ng dalaga. Wala na syang maipipintas pa sa babaeng nagmamay-ari ng paborito nyang coffee shop. She is already perfect in Reigo's eyes.

Kung kaya't palagi na sya roon na bumibili. Nagbabakasali si Reigo na makita muli ang dalaga sa tuwing sya ay bumibili. She is somehow satisfied, admiring the woman from afar.

But she would be lying if she said that she wants more than that. Gustong-gusto nyng kausapin ang dalaga ngunit hindi nya alam kung paano ito sisimulan. Reigo can see that there is hidden sadness in the woman's eyes. Kaya nyang ibigay ang lahat, mapasaya lang ang babae.

There was something about that woman that awakened the hidden desire in Reigo. Reigo can imagine them both in bed.This is the first time that she wants someone so badly.

"Oh God. You're making me insane, Galene." Yes, alam na rin ni Reigo ang pangalan ng dalaga. Nalaman nya iyon when someone called her. Kung tutuusin, Reigo can hire a private investigator para lang malaman ang lahat ng impormasyon sa babae.

But she didn't do that. Gusto nya na sya mismo ang makaalam ng mga ito. She wants to discover it herself the mysteries that Galene has.

Anong mayroon sa dalaga at ganito na lang ang epekto nito sa kanya?

Reigo snapped into reality when she heard the door creak.

"Bakit hindi ka man lang kumakatok?" Nakakunot-noo nitong tanong. Nag-peace sign lang ang babaeng pumasok sa loob.

"Kanina pa kaya ako katok nang katok. Alam kong busy ka kaka-isip kay Galene." Hindi mapigilang mapangisi ni Haze nang makita kung paano nagbago ang expression ng kanyang kaibigan.

Haze knew Reigo's whereabouts. Aware sya sa paghanga ng kanyang kaibigan kay Galene.

Reigo hissed. There is no point in denying. "What brings you here? Just make sure na may maganda kang balita na dala."

"Sure, sure."

"How was the land that I am eyeing for?" Tanong ni Reigo nang maalala ang pinapatrabaho nito.

"Oh, that's the reason why I am here." Haze sat comfortably in the swivel chair. "Nakausap ko na 'yung may-ari. Pumayag na sya sa ino-offer mong amount." 

"That's good to hear." Napatango-tango si Reigo. Everything is going smoothly according to her plan. Balak nyang magpatayo ng hotel sa lupa na iyon.

"Expect your commission on your bank account." Napahiyaw si Haze dahil sa kanyang narinig. Napakagalante talaga ng kanyang kaibigan. This is one of the reasons she loves working with her.
