Before writing anything, you must know what type of book you are planning to write. Is it a frightening, chilling, hair-raising horror novel? Is it a mystical, imagination-filled fantasy story? Or, is it a fan fiction of your favorite show? There are loads of varieties in finding a specific category or genre. Also, bear in mind to stick with your chosen category. If the category you decided to use is fiction, remember to keep it that way, so your readers won't get confused.

Once you've chosen your genre/category, now's the time to think of a TITLE! Titles are important, because they give your reader an idea of what the story is about. Titles can be long or short. They can also be a phrase, or simply a word.

But before making a title to any story, you should always remember these guidelines:
-Your title should be related to the story.
-Your title has to be based on the main topic of the story.
-Your title needs to be unique, and does not lack originality.
- Your title shouldn't be too long or else it would bore the reader.

There are many ways to make titles more creative and interesting. Your title can be poetic, clever, intriguing, whimsical, baffling or even mind-blowing. As long as the title is creative and appropriate, it can surely grab any reader's attention. If you've taken too much time focusing on a title, I suggest to first write your story, then think of a title once your story is done. It would be a lot easier since you already have an idea on the content of the story.

After choosing a category and coming up with an interesting title, you are now ready to further continue with your amazing story!
