The word "dramatis personae" is derived from the Latin language. It may seem like a VERY big word, but it's just means "the characters in a play, novel, or narrative". Not so bad, right?
Characters are the very essence of your book. A story would not be complete without unforgettable characters who make the story great. They give life to your story, and memorable characters are one of the reasons why people always look back on a novel. Creating characters with unique personalities and remarkable traits would be simple as long as you remember the following:
-Categorize your characters. It is up to you whether to have several characters that play important roles in the story or simply one to five main characters that serve as the pinpoint of the whole story. Different types of characters such as the protagonist, antagonist, and the supporting characters are important to know about.
-Make your characters have interesting names and personalities. This way, readers will be more excited and eager to read your story. Many other methods are used to create characters. One method is getting inspiration from other books and drawings. You can use your beloved character as inspiration for you book's main character. For naming characters, a method you can do is search for names that match their personalities, or that suit their appearance. If you're book is like this one, a guide, you can skip this chapter.
Once you've done making characters, you are now ready to further continue with your amazing story!
