Soon as I made I just broke down . I was still so embarrassed from earlier. I had to keep myself together and be strong.

Babygirl wipe those tears away

My dad's words repeated in my head . I wiped my tears, I can't be no punk like he told me. I got up from the couch and decided to paint my nails pink as I watch a few tv shows.

After I let them dried I looked for an  afterschool snack. I grabbed 2 bags of chips and laid down on my couch to take a little nap.

"Gina, Gina baby get up". My mother said shaking me.

"Yes momma?". My eyes was still closed but I was alert.

"Your Aunt Benni sent you some money to go shopping, the car is fix come on I'm tired of my baby wearing those old thrift store clothes". My mother said handing me my sweater.

"Really Mom,how much?". I said getting hype.

"Its a surprise you can get whatever you like hurry up girl I want to spoil you. I want you to call your Aunt when we come back and  Thank Her".

"Okay I will".

We both left out the house and had small conversations as we went to the mall. My mom is my best friend I love when she tell me her High School stories.

We was in the mall in no time, I cannot wait to wear my clothes at school.

"Gina how was your day at school?". My mother asked as we passed through the food court.

"It was horrible today Mom". I said just thinking about it again.

"Why is that?".

"When I sat down the whole desk broke and I fell down hard. Everyone was just recording me and laughing. I held in my tears.

"Gina fuck those kids at that school. I will go up there and beat any kids ass that keep laughing at my baby them desk cheap ass hell anyway.Gina don't pay them no mind your beautiful and Love your weight,you only got one of you remember that. I'll go up there tomorrow and go into work late". My mom fussed.

"Mom it's okay you don't need to come up there".

"You sure? Because I will and it ain't gonna be pretty when I do, nobody is gonna messing with Mines".

"I'm sure let's go to Charlotte Russe so I can look at the Plus Sizes". I said changed the whole subject.

"Yeah let's go".

I seen La'Monica and her friends in Charlotte Russe. Wish I would've looked at shoes first. The Worker just had to ask us if we needed help. Now everybody looking.

La'Monica and her friends whispered something in her ear they all laugh but her she only  just stared at me.

I looked the other way and my mother started picking up some clothes sizing me up.

"Gina this will look so cute on you". She said holding a shirt up to me.

"Yeah I like it".

"Come on girl shop this is your day".

I smiled and picked up everything I wanted this is only the first store. A lot more ahead.
