Eliza sat on her bed, smiling. "Eliza's in loooooove!" Peggy squealed. "Mhm." Angelica said, clearly jealous. "What's wrong Angie?" Eliza's smile dropped quickly. "Nothing." Angelica answered.
She quickly left to go sit in her room. "I remember that day, I might just regret that day for the rest of my life." She said, looking through the window.
"Those silly boys tripping over themselves to win our praise. That dream like candle light, like a dream that you can't quite place. But Alexander! I'll never forget the first time I saw your face! I will never be the same. Intelligent eyes in a hunger pang frame. And when you said 'hi' I forgot my dang name! Set my heart a flame every part a flame! This is not a game!" She cried.
Eliza sat at the door that was cracked open the tiniest bit. Eliza's face dropped as she heard her sister say those words.
"'You strike me as a woman who will never be satisfied.' Is that right? I'll never be satisfied? 'Where's your family from?' 'Unimportant. There's a million things I haven't done! Just you wait! Just you wait!' So this is what it feels like to match with someone at your level? What the hell is the catch? It's the feeling of freedom, of seein' the light. It's Ben Franklin with a key and kite. You see it right?" Angelica cries again.
"Wha-What?" Eliza said, opening the door. Her sister was in love with Alexander. The Alexander she was in love with. Eliza ran away, crying.
Just a short chapter for Angelica to have her moment. I feel bad for Eliza but it had to happen. Anyway, Comment, Vote. I hope you enjoyed!
