Perfect Coincidences

5 - the swim

The next couple of days had been the same. Going to work, Sloping around at home, adding to my book and that's it. I haven't seen Adam around at all. I really miss him.

People must really be wanting coffee today. Nearly all the tables are full and there is lots of orders. When i'm at work it distracts me from the state of my home life.

"One Latte please" I looked up to see Connor smiling at me. "coming up!" i smiled back walking away. He walked over to the waiting area pulling his phone from his pocket.

Seconds later my phone made a noise.
I quickly pulled it out seeing a message from Connor. It read "busy tonight?" I replied with "nope".

A couple minutes later his coffee was done. I handed it to him. "he ready for 6?" he said. "oh and also dress nicely" I nodded.

"why do i have to dress nicely" i asked. "cause we're going out" he smirked and walked away.

I finnished my shift making my way home. I need to pick out something for tonight and get ready, it is 4 o'clock so if i'm quick i'll look okay.

As soon as i got home i undressed and entered the shower. I quickly rinsed myself, did my hair and got out. My closet is a mess so i rummage through hoping to put something together.

I have no clue where we're going tonight. Connor said dress nicely so i picked out a nice shirt and some jeans. Once I got changed i sat down at my desk to put some makeup on.

Usually i don't wear that much but why not?

Half an hour later i checked the time. 5:39. I think i am ready so whilst i'm waiting for Connor i'll add to my book.
Time passes and i look at my phone and see Connor calling me. "i'm here" he said.

I grabbed a thick coat and my bag leaving my apartment. "hey" we both said. He was wearing a smart shirt which is tight around his arm muscles. Like me he had a pair of jeans on. He looks and smells good.
His hair looked different. I'm pretty sure he put some gel on it. Im not complaining though.

"You look good Harps" He said looking down on you. "your not too bad yourself" i replied.

He looked up at me smirking. "c'mon let's go" I had expected a car but we were walking? "so where are we going"

He just shrugs his shoulders humming. There was a gentle breeze but it isn't too cold. After walking for a while he stopped. We were stood outside mcdonald's. "it's the best food don't judge" he happily cheered.

We got a table inside and ordered our food. Out of all the places mcdonald's? We must look a bit silly wearing this but i don't mind. I do agree slightly with Connor, mcdonald's is very good.

"so how's writing?" Connor asked filling his face with fries. I sighed "it's okay my books have alright sells and i'm writing a new one right now" i nodded.

"well i want to read it before anyone else"

"how's the shop doing?" the last time i heard about it he was doing his cars very well. "well i haven't broken anyone's car yet so i think i'm doing good"

We continued eating and talking. "i've got another surprise" Connor said wiping his mouth.

We exited mcdonald's and starting walking again and ended up at the best ice cream shop ever (in my opinion).

"now this is what i'm talking about" i opened the doors to heaven. I looked back at Connor laughing. "shut up" i said smacking him.

We both ordered our ice cream and started walking again. "One last thing"  he said grabbing my hand. He led us to a more enclosed area. It looks like part of a forest. My heels weren't made for this. Suddenly I bumped into his back not looking where i was going. "sorry" i mumbled.

"we're here" he moved to the side allowing me to see. It was beautiful. There was a massive lake in front  of us surrounded by elegant trees. It was very big and had a little dock.

I looked to my left to see Connor undressing. "uh Connor what are you doing?" he was in his boxers and turned to me. It was hard not to stare. His tattoos ran along his chest and his abs were shining under the moonlight.
"i'm going swimming come on"

He runs towards the water. I sigh and start to strip and cover myself not wanting Connor to see. I run into the water. "oh my god that's so cold"

I swam over to Connor laughing. "hey" he said. I splashed water in his face. "oh it's on" he chased me splashing water everywhere. He grabbed me and we both went underwater.

Eventually I got the the surface Connor facing me. He extended his arm moving all the hair from my face. My breath quickened. He left his hand on my cheek slowly moving his thumb. Suddenly he splashed the water soaking me even more. He swam away quickly.

I chased after him as fast as I could. It almost became impossible since he used to swim as a child until his late teens. "fine you win" i shouted.

"good" he started swimming back.

We had some more fun until it got too cold. "How will we get dry!" you drain your hair soaking. There's no chance my clothes will be comfortable. Especially with jeans. I wrap my coat around me.

Connor shrugged. "we'll dry". I scoffed  "in a year sure".

He laughed and we started to walk back. I managed to get my jeans back on but it was not comfortable at all. I checked my phone. It was half past 11.

We reached my apartment and it was freezing. "do u want to come in your house is quite the walk" i asked. He nodded and said thank you.

"Want me to put your clothes in the dryer?" i still have some of Adams clothes here i'm sure he can wear them. "if that's okay" he replied.

He sat on the sofa in Adams clothes. I really needed to chuck them out. He turned the tv on and i went to get changed.  I came back out to see Connor sat at the table reading my notes. You walking up behind him putting your arms round his shoulders. "what do you think?" you sighed.

"This is amazing Harps" you smiled. "thank you" you kissed him on the cheek.

"i better get the finished copy"
