"What is depression?"
"Depression is like drowning in a dark sea. You want to swim up and break through the surface, feel like you can breath again. But you also want to let yourself sink as far and deep down as possible. So far that light is a memory.
Until you do one or the other you float under water, just far enough that you can't get back up but not deep enough that you can never get out. You float as the cold darkness stabs through you like a thousand tiny blades. You can never escape. Even when you're out, there is always a wave to pull you back under.""So what is depression?"
"It's a deep dark blade that constantly stabs you while you're already suffocating."
